AMDA is the most amazing college. It’s a diverse community of extremely talented passionate people. Every faculty member really cares about the students, one professor even managed to book many students for professional auditions as they work in the industry.
AMDA is the place to be if you want to be on Broadway or work in the industry.
The school is filled with opportunity after opportunity !
I am so grateful to be studying there !
AMDA deserves all the credit if gets if not more !

I love it here! I am a very self-motivated person, so I utilize a lot of AMDA's "extra" resources. Many of the students who complain about the academics here don't take advantage of the unrequired opportunites like Student Visions, Open Fitness/Dance, Studio Sessions, Production, etc. But because I do, I've really enjoyed my time here so far.
I love AMDA! I think it produces great artists and is a place that values hard workers, ambitious individuals and creativity and experimentation. They offer a variety of classes to cultivate your craft and make you knowledgable/successful in the industry. Like every institution, life at AMDA is something you have to make for yourself by spreading your joy and love to the right people. Dorm life can be fun, being a commuter can be exciting and their are plenty job opportunities for students on campus. No matter your walk of life before AMDA, this school prides itself on being diverse and a safe place for the future young artists of the world to be at. All right in the heart of Hollywood!
The cafe is the most convenient thing ever. I’ve Heard horror stories from other people who gone to other colleges and say that their campus food isn’t good, but this campus offers pretty good dining as well as atmosphere for us to study, so I believe that’s a bonus. Also, the resources that are available to students, I barely need to go to the store for a lot of things because their school has a lot of places where I can get certain things that I need.
My experience of AmDa is amazing... I enjoy the people and the oppurtunities that come with the program
Overall faculties were nice people who respected individuality and were passionate to teach you. It is easy to make friends because you take classes in cohorts, but there are not many activities outside of class at all. (I enrolled in and graduated during the pandemic, so things may be a little different now.)
I like the resources from the school library and the free use of the studio.
Some of the staff were not at all caring about the students and have no understanding of mental health issues.
The dorm so was bad, but I heard that the building has been changed, so I don't know if it is better now.

If you want a career on Broadway, it’s the best place for you! It’s not easy, there is a lot to do, but it’s amazing how much i’ve learned in only 8 weeks of class, and i still have a long way to go.
AMDA helps students become working entertainers. That’s the most unique part of the school. They want you to succeed before you leave them. They set a path for greatness and help each student obtain individual goals through they’re individualized curriculum.
It's been wonderful, the only way I can describe it is like I'm finally home! Everyone has been so welcoming, and I get to concentratedly study the material I'm so passionate about!
It’s been an adventure as an international student but I love it because I am growing as a performer and also as a person
This school is filled with: Opportunity. Opportunity. Opportunity.
AMDA nourishes and builds my career and artistic drive as an actress. I am thrilled with the set up and organization of both the curriculum and school.
All of the teachers are currently working in the industry. They serve as role models with genuine constructiveness and wisdom.
I have never seen such passion and drive from teachers and students - it's inspiring. It builds trust and excitement in the classroom.
AMDA me feel not so trapped or scared to apply myself into the industry. They prepare, step by step, how to get someone into this line of business.
They broadened my horizons in artistic possibilities:
Classes like Screenwriting, Directing, Stage Combat, Film Making, Improv, Voice Work/Dialects, etc. It's inspiring being a part of a program that is so well rounded!
It’s clear that they want you to succeed and are constantly rooting for you.
They're friendly, inclusive, and located in the heart of the city.

During my visit to AMDA the summer of 2021 I took classes with many teachers who had professional experience in the industry and provided some of the best and most insightful information about the industry as well as how to both mentally and physically prepare yourself to the harsh realities of rejection as well as the toll it takes on ones body to pursue the arts as a career.
Amazing program, very complete. The first half is more focused on technique, and the second half prepares you to go into the professional world (although you of course keep the technical stuff). I've learned a huge amount of things from people who ARE in the industry. Forever grateful.
A very good school, taught me a lot about who I am and who I want to be as a performer. Plus located in the center of broadway life.
I absolutely loved the lessons i learned, and i really did learn and grow a lot, however, they did not schedule classes very well. There was very little breaks or some that were too large. They did not always take students seriously, and students often vomitted or passed out due to being overworked. Overall the classes themselves were worth it, but my mental health and physical health payed the price.
Well since I’ll be starting soon I don’t really know the environment well but everyone I’ve spoken to including my fellow classmates have been amazing and I can’t wait to become apart of this school.
The integrated conservatory program is not for everyone, but is an incredible opportunity. Working with industry professionals means you start making connections on your first day, and you are always getting the most up-to-date information. Classes are interspersed with personal stories about auditioning and working in the Broadway community, and teachers are passionate about readying us for the intensity of performing 8 shows a week. You get out of the program what you put into it - be prepared to do the work!
My AMDA experience was the best experience I could ever ask for. As an international student leaving my home country in order to pursue my dreams was a huge challenge. However, at AMDA I found comfort in friends that became family, teachers that became role models, guiding me and providing me tools for my professional career, and a community that is always helping and supporting each other. At AMDA you not only learn and acquire new skills to become a complete and diverse performing artist; but also grow as a person.
Loved the teachers and the classes. My biggest issue was housing, but that has changed now that they fit new dorms! The next thing they need to upgrade is the meal plan.
I don't really have much to say yet, I'll be starting AMDA in Fall of 2023, but from what I've seen - it seems to be a fairly decent college.
