MOSTLY NICE TODAY

We’re off to a gorgeous start with sunshine and comfortable, crisp 50s and 60s. The warm up will carry us to the 70s. That, alongside lower humidity, will make for an incredible day. Most towns will remain dry and partly sunny this afternoon. A few hit-or-miss showers will pop up after 1 or 2 PM. Although coverage will be limited, they could pack a punch with locally heavy rain, lightning, gusty wind, and small hail.

RAIN RETURNS

Steadier rain will develop late tonight and impact the Thursday morning commute. Again, embedded downpours and thunderstorms will be the primary concern. The general rule will be 0.25″-0.5″ rainfall, but some towns could wind up with 2-3″ depending on how thunderstorms track (southeastern MA most at risk). Steady rain will end by late morning or midday. The afternoon will feature some breaks in the clouds and the slight chance for a pop up shower. A northeasterly wind will drag cooler temperatures in, highs will reach the mid 60s. Skies will clear in the evening - good news for the Rolling Stones concert at Gillette.

BACK TO SUNSHINE

The end of the week looks great. Sunshine will rule Friday morning then scattered clouds will mix in during the afternoon. It will be even brighter Saturday then warmer Sunday. Humidity will stay on the lower side too.
