Franklin Pierce High School Reviews
Rating 3.64 out of 5 232 reviews
My experience at Franklin Pierce High School has overall been great! As a sophomore, I believe that the culture, teachers, community, and just feel is good. The best part of my experience definitely revolves around the amazing extracurriculars offered and the quality in them. This includes: tennis, track and field, Key Club, and the amazing music program. On the other hand the food is definitely lacking in terms of both quality and quantity and could use improvement, but it's great that it's provided free-of-cost regardless.
I love Franklin Pierce. I am involved in many things like Micronesian Club, Leadership, NHS, Tuffy Tribune, etc. It is so diverse and full of many ethnic backgrounds. FP does so well at making sure everyone has a place to belong and somewhere on campus where they feel comfortable and safe. The teachers and admin that I have met and had, have been so welcoming and inviting. They are very involved and show a lot of empathy and care for their students. They are very easy to get along with! Sports games are always fun. Leadership hosts spirit days for games so students can come and participate. Overall, it is a very healthy environment!
As a senior in the class of 2024, preparing to graduate from Franklin Pierce High School on May 31st, 2024, I can recall my personal challenges. Joining Key Club in 2021, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic that was still ongoing since March 2020, after 1.5 years of quarantine, I anxious and behind. However, the enthusiasm and support from Key Club officers and advisors made a significant impact on my high school experience, inspiring me to take on leadership roles in various clubs and activities, such as Mural Club, Latino Unidos, and Link Crew. Engaging in service projects like the Point Defiance Park clean-up and fundraising events gave me valuable skills in teamwork and leadership. While my own experiences have been positive, I recognize that not all students have the same opportunities and access. Franklin Pierce High School must encourage and create a more inclusive environment to inspire all students to join and strive in clubs, sports, and academic excellence that Key Club has done.
