A famous art gallery located in Fort. It is visited by locals and foreign tourists. Established in 1952, this art gallery is managed by the Committee of Management and was founded by Sir Cowasji Jehangir. It presents exhibitions, conducts regular lectures, workshops and discussions on various forms of art. This art gallery has 4 exhibition halls. It is well maintained and entry is free. This art gallery is open from 11 am to 7 pm everyday. Photography is allowed is some places and not allowed in other places. Inside the gallery is a bust of Sir Cowasji Jehangir. Outside the gallery, there are paintings on the pavement displayed for sale. Had roamed inside the entire gallery and admired the beautiful paintings & photographs created by various artists. However, it was crowded during the Kala Ghoda festival. This art gallery is an ideal place for families, school children as well as art lovers. It is a must visit and should not be missed.

Saw the largest and nicest historical museum! Loved the trip; well worth the 150 rupees to enter. Keep in mind that there are additional fees for cameras and that you must store your baggage. On the other hand, taking pictures with your phone is part of the admission price. Regarding the museum itself, it provided a great deal of diversity, all of which were nicely arranged within the many halls. Historical displays, artwork, textile art, animal life, and recreations of both ancient and new environments were all present. The general management and upkeep of the place is excellent, with impressive domes, well-kept restrooms, and quality souvenirs. The visit was made much more enjoyable by the staff members' extraordinary knowledge and willingness to share their perspectives. The audio guides—which come in a variety of languages—further improved the experience by giving the exhibits more perspective. I've heard that this structure was granted the UNESCO Award of Excellence in 2022and is recognized as a Grade I Heritage Building. As one among Mumbai's numerous Victorian heritage structures, it is also a UNESCO World Heritage site.

It has decent collection considering majority is in British Museum, still managed to collect or bring back some stuff. A great glimpse into our and world heritage. I'm glad to be here This museum is huge, it took me 4 hours to walk around here.I enjoyed a lot here. It costs 100 ₹ to go inside here and if you want to do photography then 100 ₹ will be taken separately. There are many species of birds, insects, and many animals here. There are handicrafts of mythological architecture, sculptures and much more. I liked it very much.🥰🥰🥰

This is one of the best museums you will see. I suggest you to visit on your own rather than tour operators so that you can spend very good time to revisit history and learn from the past. What an amazing place for anyone who enjoys a day at a museum. It's very huge and there many many museums as a part of it. There's Natural Selection museum showcasing specimens of birds, wildlife and aquatic life, there's also a coins museum dating to coins collection from the Mauryan period, etc. There's a textile museum where you can do an activity of block printing on cloth. There's also a gallery which showcases work curated by artists. There's a jewellery museum as well. The entire building architecture is anything but unimpressive. If you're a college student, carry your ID card or fee receipt to get the ticket for half the actual amount. The ticket fare for foreigners is too much, 650 rs., hopefully they will lessen it a little to make it more accessible.

The very beautiful and vintage design of the overall building makes it a great place to take some nice pictures. It has different exhibitions at different dates, and you must visit a coin and jewellery section of the museum. The whole vibe of the museum is very nice and you can spend your 2-2:30 hrs peacefully. I generally like visiting museums, especially Government museums, and this one was no exception. At ₹ 150 per head (including mobile photography) it's really worth it. There are three floors of exhibits, and one of the exhibits is an Egyptian Mummy. Though the specifics about the mummy are not mentioned, there are general descriptions about Egyptian burial practices and other important facts about life in that period. The other floors too have thoughtful arrangements of the exhibits, with individual or collective commentary attached. Spent a very pleasant two hours there. Generally worth a visit when in the neighbourhood, if only for the large collection of items and the very imaginative display.

Very good place for eveyone, from all ages. It contains many ancient sculptures from our temples around the country and they are mesmerizing to see looking at their antiquity. The museum has many sections for paintings, weapons, different cultures, children section and many more. It will surely take almost a day if one wants to see entire museum minutely noting all the details. Also, if you show them a valid student ID, you get discount on ticket price.

This museum is a paradise for any history buff. The management is superb, with everything so neat and clean. The well-maintained lawns add greenery to this aesthetic establishment. The museum mainly contains artefacts from India, Persia, Greece, and Egypt. It contains a host of idols and even poetry (on rocks). As a parting thought, people who don't study but indulge in politics should visit this museum to see the astonishing similarities between Buddha and Shiva's idols. Perhaps, that would let them realise that akin to our Gods, we are one people. 🙏🏼

This place has some... ahem... interesting... exhibits. Not going to post those pictures but have fun exploring the museum haha. Well curated. Great collection of historical artifacts and art. The history and meaning behind the items is well described on plaques and posters. I thought the place was clean. Only a select few of the rooms were air conditioned. The natural history section with India fauna was fascinating. There is so much biodiversity unique to India! Well done.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya or Mumbai Museum is located in Colaba. Next to the museum is the Jehangir Art Gallery. It's not a very big museum and a large portion of the museum is donated by the TATA family. One can easily see the museum in around 3 hours. The museum is divided in multiple sections. The audio guide is pretty useless as it covers only a handful of artefacts. Must visit if you're in Mumbai.

Iconic place from every angle. I have visited it multiple times, even once I took a ferry for Kashid as well. Please visit in the early morning hours to experience all the pigeons like the photos I have attached here. After the terrorist attack, you can't go near the actual gate, rather there is a barricade. But who stops you to click nice photographs from outside of the same.

Visited this place during sunset, I would recommend to do a ferry ride during sunsets, the experience is just amazing & surreal... Ferry cost around 80-125 INR depends upon which one you select.. please be sure to reach 1 hour before taking the sunset ferry because queues are very long during weekends. Overcrowded as always, but the ferry ride is must do experience.

This is a pleasurable visit. Good break from a lot of the chaos around. No fee for entry. Just be aware as of Feb 2nd 2022, there is a security checkpoint to be ready for. People with bags right side. All others left side. I wish they had signs posted for that early on. Also there a ton of photographers on site. I have never used them but I was contemplating as they were not asking for much. I don't know what all you would get for 20 rupees.

The spot is great and well maintained except the small small but many fruits and snacks stalls made it very conjusted for the crowd to reach the gateway. Some stalls were placed right outside the toilets that was little bad we know that those people earn there living through those stalls but cleanliness should also be seen as a priority as the place is attracting many foreign tourists as well.

And the place has been known for its magnificence too. The grand metal palisades, staircase railings and the arched supports were all imported from England. And the etched glass designs are reminiscence of the glorious 19th-century architectural style.

A very great place to visit. It's a perfect Victorian museum with its didactic concepts and display systems. The architecture is just a mind boggling (combination of Palladian and High Victorian). It has many things there right from formation of Mumbai island to people with various backgrounds living here. It has just everything one would wish for. And frankly speaking it is dirt cheap considering 10 Rs that you've to shell out. Just go there and have fun ✨

I've been staying in Mumbai for 20+ years! But never seen anything like this! Lovely museum. It gives amazing perspective on the history of India. Hundreds of artefacts and their descriptions give you a glimpse of how India was during the British Era and before that. Artistic creations depicting the villages, the people, the sports and the livelihoods of Indian people of those times are an absolute delight to the eye. The museum also pays tribute to some of the greatest Indian minds who contributed in the preservation of Indian history and culture. A visit to this museum is a true lesson in history. Highly recommended, not to be missed at all!

The museum had some amazing collections of past history including ancient games of India, Metals and Utensils used in early period. Vintage painting and history of people who settled early in Bombay when it was just an island. It also has a huge Elephant statue outside which was found in Elephanta island which the Britishers tried to take to UK but it was broken while in transit so fixed it and kept it outside the museum for display.

I visited this place three years ago, but when I look back at pictures it was a worth visit.... It is right opposite to 'Rani Bagh'. The museum has miniature of Indians monuments, art pieces, metal idols & mamy more antique things, old currencies... Beautiful place. One of the best historic museum in mumbai. There ar meant informative things to learn at this place. My only suggestion would be, they should provide audio telemetry and also guides so that tourist can understand easily. Overall the place is great and with a mere fee of 10Rs it's beautiful and well maintained. The staff is supportive and helpful. There are many beautiful artifacts and beautiful sculptors inside the museum. the place is quite informative but everything is written. I wish there was something audio source to learn the information. Also one need to keep the bags outside the museum without any locker only a token is given, so please avoid any valuables.

Wednesday is Holiday, closed. Parking available at the spot. It's a 150 years old monument consisting of wonderful,historically significant rare collection of coins,pictures,drawings and ship models. Variety of old village setting and profession depicted in actual ways. I found it to be superb and informative.

A beautiful museam, well maintained, located just at the side of Byculla Zoo. Really worth a trip, especially for children. Heritage structure housing a wide collection of well catalogued and miniature displays from around the world. Cute miniature people, locations, and scenes from old India. Only misses an AC and it can get pretty hot on summer days. They've installed some coolers at locations. Entry is very reasonable at Rs10 for adults. You'll have to keep your bag out for security reasons. Photography with mobiles are allowed, but without flash.

A magnificent art gallery located inside the Sir Cowasji Jehangir Public Hall in Fort. Established in 1996, this art gallery is administered by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. It presents various exhibitions and collections of modern art. This art gallery has 5 spacious floors. It is visited by locals and foreign tourists. This art gallery is one of the most spacious art galleries in Mumbai. For security reasons, one has to keep baggage in the locker before entering inside. the entrance fees are Rs. 20 per Indian and Rs. 500 per foreigner. This art gallery is open from 11 am to 6 pm from Tuesday to Sunday. It is closed on Mondays and Public Holidays. Photography is allowed is some places and not allowed in other places. Outside the gallery is a marble bust of Sir Cowasji Jehangir. Had roamed inside the entire gallery and admired the beautiful contemporary handmade textiles. This art gallery is an ideal place for families, school children as well as art lovers. It is a must visit and should not be missed.

A wonderful space dedicated to art in the heart of Fort, the building itself is lovely to look at, let alone the substantial permanent collection. My first post pandemic visit on the last day of an extensive exhibition entitled Sutr Santati featuring some clever works showcasing the versatility of textiles. Tucked away in between floors, an installation of embroidered "bricks" with its poignant history as part of the artist's childhood home and stories caught my eye. Rabindranath Tagore's Kabuliwala rendered in kantha was a thing of beauty.

Project88 was our last venue for ArtNightThursday and I was very inspired and impressed with the current exhibit Munem Wasif who captured life through street photography (almost on-going since decades) We also saw a short film which had some stills from his photography about a man who was obsessed with smells. He had captured life in Dhaka very intricately, one must definitely visit for inspiration and creativity. Please check the gallery time before visiting! Also there are many galleries in surrounding, so make sure to club them all.

A little tricky to find but therein lies its charm. I loved visiting it during the Mumbai Gallery Week 2024. I loved the rustic yet well maintained interiors, as much as I loved soaking in the displays.

Carry cash for everything where u need to deal with cash. Gateway to Elephanta ferry 260 ₹ eash, only except cash, mini train 10 ₹ cash, Cave location pass 40 ₹ only cash. If the electricity goes down in Elephanta as happens today, the internet will go down, u can't use Gpay or use UPI there. So carry cash as u need.

Nice place for a day trip. We had wonderful time there. Am hot long boat ride on the way to the caves seemed very slow. Caves are good. Get a local guide along. He agreed for 1500. Have good information about caves. It's about information and thus you get to observe tiny things and enjoy the place. There is a government restaurant near the main gate of caves campus. It's there, after you climb all the stairs. It serves good food. Also alcohol is served. There is a toy train from jetty to market. Its not even 10 min walk distance, but take the toy train, especially if you have small kids or elderly along.

Shops selling brass and stone articles are also there. The toy train costs Rs18 from the port to the base of the steps to the temple. About 1 km. You will need to take a ferry from Gateway of India... cost about Rs 260. The ferry ride is the best part of a journey. It takes one hour of Ferry ride to the caves. You can see big ships and vessels anchoring in the sea lovely ride. It's about a 3 to 4 hour trip . Better to start from Gateway of India in the morning at 8 or 9 am .

Those who love crafts on stone then this is the place for you. You have to take a ferry to reach the island where caves are built. The ferry cost close to 300 rupees. The view of the Arabian sea is just awesome. My friends and I were amazed to see the beautiful ocean.

Beautiful journey to reach the caves. You reach Gateway of India, then catch the ferry. It would take 1 hr, would see seagulls, mesmerising view of Mumbai coastline, huge ships, boats, sea, islands. Just beautiful. Then taking toy train, then walking uphill. You may first want to eat after reaching the height, so remove travel exhaustion and relax, before you explore the caves. The first one is the only detailed one, others are simple caves, nothing much to say. It's more for the journey and scenic beauty.

The Elephanta Caves are awesome! They resemble a treasure hunt with several prehistoric caverns and statues. Finding hidden sculptures and exploring the dim passageways gives the impression of being on an actual journey. The enormous statues of the gods and goddesses are quite magnificent. It's amazing just getting there by boat. The Elephanta Caves are a must-see for all aspiring explorers!

Should be a must visit in your bucket list! An iconic place to visit in Mumbai, it’s grandeur is daunting and a treat to your eyes! We visited during monsoon and it was just the perfect time to visit I felt, with light showers now and then...I did a lot of research about this place before we went, but this becomes to be a more of a last minute plan due to monsoon and heavy showers. This ended up being my favourite day of our whole trip! The caves were amazing and the statue carvings were incredible! I would highly recommend using a tour guide as there are no explanations or information boards once you go in

Away from the city by half an hour boat ride(I got the ticket for ₹260/-).After I arrived I took another ticket for a short train ride to the main island.Here they sell rocks,antiques,souvenirs,clothes,foods and beverages. You have to climb stairs to get up to the caves.There are a lot of monkeys so be sure to take care of your belongings.The caves are quite well maintained,the entrances have been recreated and some extras also have been done.Overall it was a nice journey,tiring but awesome.

Elephanta caves a world heritage site is accessible by ferry from gate way of India. A 45 minutes boat ride and a 20 min walk and climb takes you to this world famous rock cut caves. It is advisable to take a guide to understand each carved statute and importance of them in the temple complex. Mostly dedicated to lord Shiva, the beauty and architecture can not be explained in a review but can only be appropriated in a personal visit. Facilities do exist at this place.

Elephanta Caves are super cool! They're like a treasure hunt full of ancient caves and sculptures. Exploring the dark tunnels and finding secret carvings feels like being in a real-life adventure. The huge statues of gods and goddesses are so impressive. The boat ride to get there is exciting too. Elephanta Caves are a must-visit for all the little explorers out there!

Not worth the time we spend to see this place. It almost takes 3 hours (to and fro including steps ascent and descent) . The boat ride is painfully slow. No safety jackets are given. The stairs are slightly inclined upwards. Elders might find it difficult to climb.Once you climb stairs there is hardly anything to see. Literally I was done seeing all the caves in 30 minutes. The pathway to stairs is covered completely by the local vendors and as an effect of hot humid climate it becomes unbearable to climb stairs. The condition of carvings are in a ruined state. Monkey menace is normal as in any other tourist place. If you have small kids with you then it's better to skip this place and plan something else in Mumbai

UNESCO World Heritage site with elaborate monolithic rock cut caves situated on an island which takes an hour of ferry ride to reach from the Gateway of India pier. Stunning. Takes some walking and climbing some stairs. People not willing to walk can avail palanquin service from the base level. Very popular tourist spot in Mumbai.

Island is a small one. Takes about an hour or so to roam around on it. All the fun is in the 1 hour boat ride from gateway of India and things you see during the ride. Take lots of biscuits to feed the seagulls on the way if traveling with kids! Take cash with you for the ferry, per person return ticket around 300. Mobiles have range, online payment is mostly accepted in the shops.

A Good weekend destination.There are many historical caves. Caves are well maintained. This place worth it going. This area has many shop's having wonderful handicrafts & jewellery made from crystals & semi precious stones. Perfect place for stone & crystal lovers. Overall, an nice weekend destination outside Mumbai.

Great place to visit. The caves are maintained well however the surrounding area is littered with plastic bottles is very much neglected. It’s surprising considering the amount they charge international tourists you’d think they’d make an effort to clean. This is the only thing that lets the whole place down. The Elephanta caves includes 5 caves .Each cave is really beautiful to see.There r lot of monkeys on please be aware of that.Many Stone sculpture can be seen inside these caves.

You have to take a ferry ride from Gateway of India to elephanta caves. It costs around 260 per person for a two-way journey, and the tickets are sold near the ferry stations. Once you reach the destination you will have the option of taking a mini-train (18rs /head) which takes you 500-600meters closer to the caves, or you can choose to walk the distance. Then there is a 20rs fees collected by the local authorities in addition to the 40rs collected once you actually reach the caves. You have to then climb stairs for another 400+- meters to reach the main entrance.(paid carriages are available for elders).Paid toilets are available once you reach the entrance (10Rs) which are cleanly maintained. Food, snacks and refreshment options are available throughout the way to the Cave, Its better to carry cash for expenses since mobile payments mostly don't work due to bad signal. The cave itself will take less than an hour to go around. Lot of sculptures are damaged and not much has been done to preserve the existing ones, you can see names been carved out of some statues. So much craftsmanship in those sculptures, definitely worth a visit. Weekends and holidays are way too crowded. Try to go on a weekday, early hours to enjoy the place peacefully. I think ferries are available from 8 - 8-30am.

A nice place, I loved the fairy boat traveling to the cave, try to return in the last fairy boat in the evening, so it would be great timing for sunset when you return, and also the night lighting of the city and cruse. Caves are maintained, but takes different different charges step by step while you go inside. I don't know why they are not making a single charge including all...

The island is reached after an hour-long ferry voyage from Indias entrance The Gateway of India. The caverns are a 25–30 minute walk away. It is advised if you enjoy seeing historical sculptures. Beware of monkeys 🐒; if you are holding something edible, they will grab it. Two of them grabbed my daughter's ice cream and a packet of chips 😅.

It’s a fantastic picnic spot with a train to CST, bus to Gateway, boat to Elephanta Jetty, toy train and a trek. It’s a family picnic spot. Would recommend to travel in the morning and take the first boat at 9 am. The afternoon heat doesn’t dampen your travel excitement and festive mood. they have a small number of tickets, they should make it into one ticket from start to end and maybe have a higher prices charge ticket for food and cold water.

Went for Art Night Thursday, this gallery is a hidden gem in colaba. One should definitely visit and enjoy various artists there. Currently showcasing Hetain Patel's Exhibition!

This is a wonderful little gallery with very helpful staff. I was particularly lucky as I had only a day to spare in Mumbai and I managed to catch a new (and important) exhibition that had just been put up there of my favourite artist--I guess some of you will be able to guess the who the artist is from the attached photos!

We went first to Gorai Jetty Market to catch a ferry which dropped us to the opposite side of shore. Once we reached the other side, we had limited options and had to catch an auto which took ₹100 to drop us to Vipassana pagoda (too costly for hardly 1 - 2 km ride). The place doesn't require any entry fee, it has a strict checking before we enter the place. The pagoda is huge, open and closer to greenery. You can spend 1-3 hours there exploring the place, sitting in the garden and having a meal. The place is good for photographers as they are the only ones who can spend a longer time there without getting bored and clicking every nook and corner or the architecture.

Absolutely worth! Visiting the Global Vipassana Pagoda is such a serene experience. The tranquility and beauty of the pagoda make it a perfect place for inner reflection and peace. Free entry, no outside food and do not wear shorts please wear full clothes also you get snacks, drinking water and so souvenir shop inside. The washrooms are also clean Please take a ferry to go and then walk a km to reach the pagoda make sure to come back before 6 pm to the ferry point because the last ferry is at 6.30 pm.

A meditation dome situated in the city of Mumbai near Borivali has a beautiful and magnificent stone architecture. It is symbolic of Universal message of peace. A must visit place for just peaceful vibes and for an architecture which is a treat to eyes.

To reach this place we have to take a ferry ride for 30 minutes, I'm so curious to visit the pagoda structure. Finally I reached it, It was so good and well maintained and had a calm atmosphere but the disappointing part is unfortunately we can't mediate inside the pagoda due to under construction. Very beautiful, quite, serene and soothing, we went in the rains... enjoyed a lot there..., it is a little slippery be careful while you roam around exploring . You are not allowed to wear anything short or sleeveless, if you are wearing any of such clothes you would be told to drape lungi (Like in the pics)

This is indeed a beautiful place to visit. Taking a ferry from Gorai beach (Rs 100/-) return fare is worth. No entry fees there after. It has a meditation centre too. There are small eateries if you are fond of Street food, outside the vicinity. After getting off the ferry it is about a 10 minute walk. The road is beautiful and full of greenery. It gets too hot in the summer season, if I visit again I will make sure it is not summer afternoon.

Timings are 9-6 You need to show your double vaccine certificate for entry. There's no entry fee. Women need to wear clothes that don't show their knee or you're given a cloth to cover up. After you enter you're taken to a guide who asks you to download the app and use it to understand the place better. There's a meditation centre, video hall, photo and painting gallery. The main dome is accessible only from a small part. The place has parks and a lot of trees. Carry your cap as it can be too sunny. There's a cafeteria and food plaza which isn't overpriced but does have rates a bit higher than outside. I went by road from bhayandar took 220 rupees rickshaw. There is bus facility but at interval of 1 hour or more.

Such an amazing place in India. Really unique, calm and peaceful meditative place. Yes - it took like an hour to travel there - but was awestruck by the view it offers before reaching there - the pagoda was visible from a very far away itself. It was very majestic and holistic. It feels as if you were there is Myanmar - it never feels like Indian there. There was a 10 day course they offer - to learn the art of Dhamma . One can stay there within the campus itself and attend that course. Also those who really meditate and people who attend that course are only allowed inside the main meditative hall. Others can only get a glimpse of the hall. An excellent souvenir shop is available there near the exit.

The best way to reach it is by catching the metro to Borivali West station and then a ferry ride stop around 1km from the station. No entry fees as such. You will find few snack shop on the way. They do advise you to wear decent clothes. And yeah the place is definitely pretty and peaceful. Do definitely check out the dome inside of the pagoda.

From the outside it looks beautiful but inside there was nothing to see. But the pagoda and the gates in to the area and the surroundings look very nice. One big fail is the guards who were a bit annoying blowing their whistles all the time. Like this is supposed to be a quiet place for praying/meditating. If some guests are speaking and you want them to keep their volume down, blowing a loud whistle completely contradicts it. Just walk up to the persons and tell them to be quiet.

DIVINE..!! The energy around this place is simply sublime. We reached this place through the Gorai jetty. Ticket prices are 100 Rs per person (to and fro). There is a ferry every half an hour. It is a 20 min ferry ride to reach the Vipassana Main Gate. You may have to walk for around 500 metres to reach the entry gate. Do not carry any food items with you. Water bottles are allowed. Do not wear shorts while you visit this place. Once you enter you can download the Vipassana app to get access to audio recordings while you tour the place. It takes roughly 1 hour to cover all the points. This place has a rich history and gives a pleasant vibe. The major attraction here is the main hall which can accommodate 1000 people to meditate at a time. While leaving, you can buy some souvenirs from the shop which is located at the exit. Do not miss this place..!!

You're going to spend 2 to 3 hours there, provided you're also visiting Gorai beach which is in the same place as Pagoda. To reach Pagoda, you'll have to take the Jetty. Tickets are available a few steps from the gate that leads to the Jetty pickup/drop point. 100rs. For both sides. Pagoda offers a sense of serenity as soon as it comes into sight from the jetty. Also you'll feel very calm inside the main meditation centre. Around it, you can read about its history and a lot of good quotes. There is also a short film you can see there about Buddha and Pagoda. There's food zone offering good taste and maintaining good hygiene. That's it. I didn't go to the beach.

An average place with a clear motive of just being at peace and meditating. Nothing much to do just go around and click pictures. Parking is a bit far for people who are not willing to walk. A climb of may be 50-70 stairs with 2 security checks and a souvenir gift shop on the way down which cannot be dodged. They did state that we can get four own eatables and would be allowed to eat there, but it’s not that. They ask to throw the food or eat it during the security check and then move forward. Not allowed to sit anywhere near the pagoda. Food plaza is available with basic options. Children can play in the small park there. Though the pagoda built inspired from the Burmese architecture and principles is beautiful, it was an average experience.

Lovely place to visit. Can do cycling by paying little rent or track 7 km from the main gate to the caves. Lovely track to goin the jungle. You can be lucky to see deer moving in the jungle. There is also bus and van service from gate to caves. Cave opens at 9 am. There is entry fees for national park...Rs.75 and also at caves.. Rs. 25 as on May 22. Great picnic spot for kids. There is also a canteen near the caves. You can also get fruits and fruit salad served by local people. The carvings in cave are made in the wall and the caves have been made out from rocks of hills.

The Caves depict so much.. There are many caves to see. The ambience is great. The security staff are polite and helpful. If you like to see our history it's a great place to explore.

To reach to Kanheri caves you need to go to Sanjay Gandhi national park. Entry fee for park is 85rs. Bus to Kanheri caves is 10rs. Entry to caves is 25rs. Caves are definitely worth visiting. Carved architecture spanned over 10centuries can be see ❤️ Closing time for entry for caves is 5pm. Last bus comes from caves is 6:30pm. It’s all worth. Nice wind, nice views.. good fruits and refreshing drinks can be found at the bottom of the caves entry. It’s a bit a hike up so people with knees or back issues might find it tough. Overall good place to visit for a day out with family or friends.

Don't go during peak summer season, it gets very hot. But overall experience is really fun and is a good Trek if you are into climbing on rocks. Recommendation: Go for the yellow line Trek it has the best caves to visit

I did enjoy here . You can come with your family and nature lovers. Mansoon season is best to come here because you can see stream and can bath. You can see alot of monkeys here and there. You can see ample number of caves which is very old and their architecture is marvelous. I suggest everyone once .

It’s a beautiful place. An ancient place for a Buddhist monk temple. More than 100 small caves are there. One important thing you have to remember when you want to visit this place that is lots of monkeys. They are attached if you have any shopping bags or even water bottles.

Lovely caves. It will take you to old medieval times. The cave 3 is really great. Moreover the caves are really well maintained by ASI. Its a must visit if you are in Mumbai. But beware of the monkeys.

Had being on a Sunday morning. The park opens for general public at 8.00am prior to that only the morning joggers who have the membership are allowed.Due to covid, boating, safari as well as toy train was closed.There are Best buses plying to the kanheri caves as well as couple of Omni vans.One can take rented bicycles outside the park as well as inside as private vehicles are not allowed and the parking charges are ₹200/-(not at all recommended to hike the entire stretch as it will tire you unless and until you are a professional)there is an entry fee for the caves.as well as charges for photography. Toilet is clean however the sole cafeteria at the caves should be totally avoided as we had misal pav which was bland and not at all tasty.The entire caves area is well maintained and there are security personnel who are quite helpful and are stationed at every caves entrance. One can easily access each and every cave and the view from the top is scenric.Vist the place in the early half.Highly recommended and PLEASE DON'T LITTER and write on the walls.

Beautiful caves far from the noise of the city, you cannot miss this if you visit the national park, especially in monsoon. You get a panoramic view of the city from the top. There's a BEST bus service for pick and drop from the entrance of the park.

Best place to visit in Mumbai if you are interested in Buddhism and like to have a little trekking. From the gate to the cave entrance bus service is available for a very little price. If you want to really know about the place I suggest you take a guide. Have a little trek, meditate, feed the monkeys and enjoy nature in the middle of the busiest city of India.

You will find people trekking and school/college goers cycling in the premises. There are four ways you can the reach the caves from the main gate: cycling, trekking/walking, bus service and reserved shuttle car for tourists. The visit is worth it, with century old caves and scriptures with picturesque view will make your day!

Great place to visit in heart of Mumbai. It's best to visit during rainy season, it's green all around. Some areas may get slippery so wear good footwear and walk carefully. There are total 109 caves here, all are not accessible. Area is kept clean.

The historic caves are carved in black stones. The place is inside the National park. There is a bus facility from the National park entrance to here. The best time to visit will be August end and September. The summer will be very hectic to visit this place. The place is historical and a must visit place.

A group of caves built by Buddhists in between 1CE to 10CE. There are as many as 129 Caves (as per Wikipedia) but I saw numbering till 101 Caves. Really beautiful and makes you ponder upon the lifestyle, needs and the ancient society that used to live here. There are many inscriptions here, mainly besides the City Hall which has a Stupa and along few other caves. Few caves may seem very small but there are metal grills which restrict access to water harvesting holes that are very deep. The local guards / guides here say the City Hall (as per Wikipedia) is actually a Buddhist classroom where they learnt important aspects of life and gained skills. The group of caves are spread wide apart and take at least 2 hrs in a hurry if you want to see all of them. Make sure you're good at cardio as there is a lot of climbing necessary. A few spots are littered with plates and plastic bottles and I request all to keep this ancient place as clean as possible. Above all the caves, is a plateau which has a view point and the only place here where the phone has reception. Make sure to carry water, you will get thirsty.

One of the famous Buddha caves in Borivali, Thane Maharashtra. It was a great experience there. We went by taxi to reach there. We have to purchase the tickets to enter the place. We will have to rent a cycle to reach the Buddha caves because it's too far from the entrance. It's a great effort for a person to reach the caves, because of the roads with slops, bed roads etc. you will definitely get tired. Reaching there is a great experience, how they have built caves in the earlier days in these stones, and the places they spent for meditation, the water sources etc

Established in 2006 by Usha Mirchandani and Ranjana Steinruecke, Galerie Mirchandani + Steinruecke introduces new, contemporary Indian artists to the Mumbai art scene and gives a stage to mid-career artists. Various different media have been exhibited in the past, from painting, drawing, sculpture, textile-based art and collage to photography and video. The gallery has presented key international works by Kiki Smith, Jonathan Meese, Juul Kraijer, Dayanita Singh, Polly Apfelbaum and Eva and Franco Mattes. Between 1997 to 2003, the couple ran a space in Berlin for contemporary art from India organising solo exhibitions with big names such as Atul Dodiya, Bhupen Khakhar, Jogen Chowdhury, M.F. Husain and S.H. Raza.

A good little gallery, located behind the Taj hotel, in an old building with narrow wooden staircase. The gallery is not a big one, yet spacious enough to view the art work, since the exhibition rooms are not crowded with too many paintings - just the right amount to view the paintings peacefully.

Its a good place to take a look at art. The entrances/door to this one is as mysterious as several other art galleries.... Pretty confusing about where exactly the doorbell is and how to enter. But look around and you will see it.

An unexpected and quiet place tucked away in Colaba. I loved the high ceilings...even though the space was relatively small. Nevertheless the exhibition that they held was astonishing...a provocative and daring display of imagination, erotic, and fine weaving about pleasure gardens and men and women and animals and all the permutation and combinations. Thank you for doing what most won't even contemplate.

The place is amazing and if u if you visit the place you cannot see many beautiful things and the most important thing is it's beautiful it has modern art and architecture and more focused on interior designers of a room or office so the best thing for art lovers

Very big space and lovely gallery

The place spreads a spiritual feeling and we really felt blessed to be there. However, found it very crowded and the row of beggars sitting by the path leading to Dargah is not a pleasant site. Enjoyed the complete BAZAAR at the underground path. However, I was saddened to see the condition of the Arabian sea. Of course, it is the fault of the thoughtless tourists and visitors who do not mind throwing garbage and polluting the sea.

Haji Ali Dargah is an unique, sacred place for Muslim & everyone can visit this place irrespective of religion .This is located right in the middle of Arabian Sea(The walk in the middle of the sea is beautiful & so peaceful ), which connects through a pathway with mainland(approximately <300mts from main road). This is very crowded place but worth seeing. It’s better visit on weekdays , low tide & non monsoon.There are many shops at entrance , which makes pathway congestion. Maintenance is poor,There was garbage all along the way to reach mosque & in sea also.On weekends you've to go through the subways to reach the Dargah because of traffic issues. You can have beautiful views at the back of the dargah & can see the Mahalakshmi temple from here. Don't buy scarves unless you'll go for the prayers. Coastal project works are going on here. Nearest railway station -Mahalakshmi

It's a holy shrine of Haji Ali. Avoid visit on Friday. Its too much crowded. People from all community visit here. It's famous picnic spot also for Sun set. But it's now under renovation so you are not allowed to touch the grave. You have to take blessings from a distance. One thing doesn't like is lack of facilities. No stand for foot wear keeping. People their loot you for Rs.10/- for per pair of food wear.

This Indo-Islamic pilgrim site is a welcome yet striking sight located on an island near Worli coast. The mosque was built in 19th century and houses the tomb of Saint Pir Haji Ali Shah Bukhari. Legend has it that Saint Haji Ali died when he went on a pilgrimage to Mecca, but miraculously, his casket floated across the sea and ended up on the shores of Mumbai. A constricted lane will lead us to this floating mosque that can be accessed only during low tide (check tide timings locally). After passing through the entrance, we will enter the marble courtyard, the central holy place. Overall during my recent visit in November 2023 the old early days vibes have gone , now the place has become a bit dirty due to the construction that is going on. Still a majestic site to see & admire.

A serene and spiritual shrine. They don't allow you to get anywhere near the saints actual resting place. You can get about 10 meters close max. It has a beautiful mosque with very artful engravings made on marbles adjacent to the shrine.

The Haji Ali Dargah was constructed in 1431 in memory of a wealthy Muslim merchant, Sayyed Pir Haji Ali Shah Bukhari, who gave up all his worldly possessions before making a pilgrimage to Mecca. Hailing from Bukhara, in present-day Uzbekistan, Bukhari travelled around the world in the early to mid 15th century, and eventually settled in present-day Mumbai. According to legends surrounding his life, once the saint saw a poor woman crying on the road, holding an empty vessel. He asked her what the problem was, she sobbed that her husband would thrash her as she stumbled and accidentally spilled the oil she was carrying. He asked her to take him to the spot where she spilt the oil. There, he jabbed a finger into the soil and the oil gushed out. The overjoyed woman filled up the vessel and went home. Later, Pir Haji Ali Shah Bukhari had a recurring and disturbing dream that he had injured Earth by his act. Full of remorse and grief from that day he started keeping unwell. Then with the permission of his mother, he traveled to India with his brother and finally reached the shore of Mumbai – near Worli or at some place opposite the present tomb. His brother went back to their native place. Pir Haji Ali Shah Bukhari sent a letter with him to their mother informing her that he was keeping good health and that he had decided to reside at that place permanently for the spread of Islam and that she should forgive him.

The well known sacred place for ALL. You should visit Haji Ali dargah. Now it is all walkable till dargah, earlier it was pretty difficult. I got a cab from gate way of India to haji Ali. Inside you need to pay Rs.10 per shoes.

It is one of the most famous places in Mumbai. People from all religions visit here. I am Marathi and I visited long ago with my friends. Now I visit here for the Shore walk. It was completed in the 15th century, somewhere in the 1430s for a Muslim saint who lived in Mumbai. Located in Worli at the coast. It has a beautiful path connection between the city and Dargah. In the monsoon or highest high tide the path goes under water and only the Dargah stays above water level and it is very beautiful to see. Now due to the coastal road construction there are some slight changes in path. Alert- carry a Handkerchief for the head and wear full clothes (pants). And do not fall for the vendors in the path for anything it's a spiritual place and some people have made it money business, and taking unwanted extra money from tourists.

Haji Ali Dargah, Mumbai, India The location of the Dargah is very good but the maintenance of the entire place is poor. This could have been more neat and clean. The surroundings are very dirty and needs proper cleaning and management.

The 5 stars are for the historical and religious significance. Apart from that, if you're not here to pray, there isn't much to do. There is a prayer area in the middle seggregated for men and women. Around that is a walkway around the building that overlooks the Arabian Sea. The complex itself is quite small. The path to the building is fairly wide, but can feel narrow if there is more than a small crowd. You do have to walk under a tunnel which can feel unnerving in the dark. The entrance from the main road was not intuitive. There is a small path that turns into the tunnel. Worth seeing once.

It's a good place for young kids to visit. Interesting and quite interesting place for school kids. However, you have extremely crowded weekends. Very poor maintenance. Washrooms are extremely filthy. No air conditioning inside irrespective of high crowd. Not recommend on weekends and on public holidays. It needs immediate action form government authorities for maintenance and air conditioning system as young kids are visiting this place. I found this place very dirty and unhygienic.

Nehru Science Centre is among the National level Science Museum. It incorporates communication with science in innovative ways. This is very good knowledge to take your children there. There are separate floors for each type of topic like one is on the Human Body, second on arithmetic, third is on space craft and so on. There are several activities which help the person to get the knowledge in a fun way. I would highly recommend this place.

I visited the place with very limited time so was not able to cover all the zones. It was informative and if you are a science wizard and if you love to spend time in checking out science related things then this is the perfect place for you. You can spend entire day and gain vast knowledge about some important stuffs. So overall this is a good experience and I recommend this place if you love attention to detail and love doing science stuffs.

Best place to visit in the summer holiday with kids. You can spend full day and that also not sufficient to cover all. A must visit and for all age group, but specially for kids. You can enjoy and experiment with science. There is a basic entry ticket for outdoor and indoor science activity. In addition to that you can also attend amazing shows like Science Odyssey, Science on Sphere, High Voltage, Motion Simulator & 3d Show with additional ticket. There is a combo ticket available (4 members) for entry and all shows, which is cost less. Parking available inside with nominal charge. There is a nice open area with beautiful sitting arrangement for enjoying your own food. There is an indoor canteen where you can have your food with very nominal charge. It is recommended to reach by 9-9:30 AM, so that you can enjoy everything. Do not forget to take the show timing in advance in your ticket if you have opted for all shows.

Any Science enthusiast person will fall in love with this place. This place has one of the best science exhibits that explains the day to day concepts in a very efficient way. Some exhibits explain concepts of science way better than any text book. Science centre is spacious and full of greenery.

Lovely experience exploring the demonstration of pully, torque, sound,, echo, optics. It was fun. 3d show was fun. But science on a sphere was superb with great anchor. They have newly added the High Voltage show demonstrating Tesla and Faraday effects that was a cherry on th le top.

Convenient to reach by train, bus as well as by car or bike. This has ample parking space available inside the centre. Beware of the parking scam outside the auditorium where some random people charge 100 Rupees or so. Parking is completely free inside. The shows are amazing, however check the timings beforehand. Tickets can be purchased online as well as at the counter. Even if the tickets are sold out on online website, you can easily get tickets at the counter upon reaching there.

Awesome place. Some people confuse Nehru Science Centre with Nehru Planetarium, both are different places which are located nearby. Entry in garden doesn't require a ticket, for science centre, science Odyssey and 3d show ticket prices are different which is mentioned on their official website. Cafeteria inside the science centre is often crowded but there is a separate facility for lunch, breakfast and snacks outside the centre.

Am excellent source of knowledge and a centre for dousing childrens' curiosity. It is also an excellent source of knowledge for the adults as well. The centre had an excellent and informative history display of modern India's history. You can buy scientific toys here. Make sure you don't miss the 3D show in the planetarium. It is indeed grand and breath taking. This is an excellent way to spend tonnes with your kids in a constructive way.

For school students,interactive exhibits exploring various scientific principles to insightful displays on space exploration and technology, the center provides a comprehensive look into the world of science.

Definitely the best place to introduce the basics of science in play to our kids and learn in a fun way. The science Odyssey where they showcase the Australian wildlife in a dome shaped theater is also a great enjoyment. A good time to visit is around 2 pm so as to have your rest of the day being spent here with your kids and later play in their garden with a few more experiments.

This is good for kids as a day visit if they interested in science. Good learning on each floor. The video show with Rs. 80 ticket is waste of time and money. There are very limited options for food so keep good food for kids with you. Car parking is allowed inside. This premises is separate from planetarium no connect. Kids enjoy here. There are many activities that can be loved by the children definitely but being an adult i personally felt bored & annoying. Basically if we want to enjoy the science centre there should be some decency but what I feel is very crowded & very annoying sometimes . Even if you are thinking of having lunch there the prices are very expensive with regards to taste & also quantity . Overall my experience is ok ok nothing extraordinary.

Temple is at a very well connected place. U can use local to Dadar station and share cabs at Rs10/person. But queue to enter is actually the trouble. Despite all effort u can't enter without an hour hustle. Place was historic and beautiful not much peaceful though. Photo was restricted. The price of anything here is at a whole other level. My suggestion would be not getting scammed by local vendors and follow the instructions to get good experience.

There is no preference or aversion when it comes to devotion. It is a precious moment to witness Shri Ganesha, who removes all obstacles of his devotees. Can you guess when this temple was established? Let me give you a hint. It was constructed on 19 November 1801. Originally, the Siddhivinayak Temple was a small brick structure measuring 3.6 meters x 3.6 meters, with a dome-shaped brick shikhara. It was built by the contractor Laxman Vithu Patil and funded by a wealthy Agri woman named Deubai Patil, who was unable to have children due to infertility. Deubai built the temple with the hope that Lord Ganesha would grant children to other infertile women. Under the guidance of Hindu saint Akkalkot Swami Samarth, his disciple Ramakrishna Jambhekar Maharaj buried two divine idols in front of the main deity of the temple, as instructed by his guru. I recently had the opportunity to visit the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai for the first time. I had heard a lot about this temple and was very excited to see it for myself. The temple is located in the Prabhadevi area of Mumbai and is easily accessible by public transportation. I took the train to Dadar Station and then walked to the temple. The walk was about 15 minutes long and was very pleasant. When I arrived at the temple, I was immediately struck by its size and grandeur. The temple is made of white marble and is very ornate. The main entrance to the temple is through a large archway. There are also several smaller entrances to the temple. I entered the temple through the main entrance and was immediately greeted by a large statue of Lord Ganesha. The statue is made of gold and is very impressive. I took some time to admire the statue and then proceeded to the main hall of the temple. The main hall of the temple is very large and can accommodate a large number of people. The walls of the hall are decorated with murals depicting the life of Lord Ganesha. There is also a large altar in the center of the hall. The altar is where the main idol of Lord Ganesha is located. I made my way to the altar and took some time to pray to Lord Ganesha. I then proceeded to the other areas of the temple. The temple has several other smaller shrines dedicated to other deities. I also visited the temple museum, which houses a collection of artifacts related to Lord Ganesha. Overall, I had a very positive experience visiting the Siddhivinayak Temple. The temple is very beautiful and is a great place to worship Lord Ganesha. I would definitely recommend visiting the temple if you are in Mumbai. Here are some additional thoughts from my perspective as a first-time visitor: The temple is very popular and can be quite crowded, especially on weekends and holidays. If you are planning to visit the temple, I recommend going early in the morning or late in the evening to avoid the crowds. The temple is free to visit, but there is a donation box at the entrance. You can donate any amount that you wish. There are several shops outside the temple where you can buy flowers, coconuts, and other offerings for Lord Ganesha. The temple is wheelchair accessible and there are also restrooms available on site. I would recommend wearing comfortable shoes as you will be doing a lot of walking. I would also recommend dressing modestly. For men, this means wearing a shirt and pants. For women, this means wearing a saree or salwar kameez.

The temple has a small mandap with the shrine for Siddhi Vinayak ("Ganesha who grants your wish"). The wooden doors to the sanctum are carved with images of the Ashtavinayak (the eight manifestations of Ganesha in Maharashtra). The inner roof of the sanctum is plated with gold, and the central idol is of Lord Ganesha. In the periphery, there is a Hanuman temple as well. The exterior of the temple consists of a dome which is lit up with multiple colors in the evenings and they keep changing every few hours. The idol of Shri Ganesha is located exactly under the dome. Temple attracts huge crowd of Devotees on Tuesdays, Sankashti & Angarki. A underground railway station is coming up close by is named after the diety.

Blessed to be here. Bappa is in the heart. The temple is located near busy area. One has to take Darshan at early hours when the crowd may be less. But the temple is always full of devotees. So plan well before visiting this temple. A very peaceful and divine feeling.

I really cannot give a review here but this place is just awesome in its self. One of the iconic places as always. Do not fall into the trap of removing your shoes at the shops there is a free service for footwears inside. There are cute lil shops around and gives us a nice vibe.

I loved to visit the Temple of Lord Ganesha. Very peaceful and well maintained. In the early morning it is less crowded. Here is no pressure on the devotee of the middle men or pandas like in other temples in other states. The temple staffs are very friendly. Anyone can give Puja or donate through online. Presently appointment in the temple is restricted. However devotees get joy visiting Siddhi Vinayak Temple.

The experience was nice. The queue keeps on moving at a steady pace. You can find fans everywhere along the queue, also the premise is shaded so as to help the visitors as they queue up for entering the main temple. You can pay Rs 100 if you want to skip the queue. Must visit if you are in Mumbai.

Shri Siddhivinayak Temple is one of the most popular temples in Mumbai. The temple is dedicated to Ganesha. When I visited, there was so long queue that I had to wait for half and hour to get in the temple. But it was worth it. The temple is so beautiful from inside that you wouldn't want to get yourself out from there. If you're in the Mumbai, it’s a must visit temple.

Divine place but lack of proper parking. Strongly recommend not to come with your own vehicle. VIP culture is there. No need to book in advance. But special line are with cost.

GO visit the temple and see ur wishes come true. Currently in corona times you will have to register your self on siddhivinayak Temple app for booking an appointment or you can go there and download the app and get an on the spot registration. Just one caution, while entering the main temple, keep in mind that the stairs to go down might not be visible if it is too crowded. Still, it is smoothly manageable as the crowd work is slick.

If you are in Mumbai, a visit to the temple is must. The temple will give you a feeling of tranquil as you enter. A big crowd is common inside the temple be it any time of the day. There are no tickets to enter it. There will be lots of shops available inside the premises to buy flowers and sweets to offer to lord Ganesh. There are three lines to enter the temple. You will have to choose depending on the type of visit. We went to just visit the temple and see the idol so we went inside thru the mukhdarshan line. If you want to get the puja done, you will have to enter thru the normal puja line or the vip line which costs 1500 rs for 4 people. There is also a lord hanuman idol inside and you can get tika from the purohit while returning back from the main temple. We reached there around 3.25 pm and came back by 3:35 pm. There is a mahaprasad counter where you can get the bhog(laddoo) for Rs 20/-. You can buy modak separately to offer Lord Ganesh. In order to reach there, you can come to dadar station - west and take a share cab at Rs 10/- each and reach the temple in just 5-6 mins. The station road of Dadar has lots of street shopping outlets available and you can shop at cheap prices.

We landed on Saturday morning and went straight to Siddhivinayak darshan, It took appx 45 mins from Mumbai airport to mandir, reached around 9am. It was less crowded on Saturday morning, at the entrance had to submit our Camera in the locker at Rs. 10 rental. Its peaceful and well maintained. You can buy sweets, mala, flower for offering to lodlrd Ganesh ji.🙏 To avoid long cue you can go for mukh darshan (refer to my video) but hardly get a glimpse because of the crowd in front. Alternative pay Rs. 100 for quick darshan. Shoes can be kept outside, free seva is available. Had a darshan of Hanumanji too from the entrance. Once you come out, you can go for nearby food cafes for vegetarian breakfast.

We visited this place on Saturday..alot of people were there... overall experience was good. There was a long queue. So request you to go early like before 12 p.m for quick darshan without queue...then I took Prasad it was very delicious...don't forget to take it from the counter😋

A very nice darshan in Lord Ganesha's siddhivinayak mandir. We went there on Thursday around 9 am . There was no rush and no big ques as it was weekday . Beware of the scammers who will ask to keep chappals n shoes outside the entrance of the mandir just before the security check. They will force you to keep chappals near their prasad stores and they will give you Prasad tray and will charge a huge amount for it. Instead just as you cross the security point you will find Free footwear storage and you can keep your chappals there . I would advise you to buy the flowers and prasad tray from inside the temple only which will cost around 100 much cheaper than outside . Do buy mahaprasad from the sweet store and relish god's divine presence with the temple and at Last also don't forget to visit the Hanuman ji temple Just by the side.

It was very blissful to get blessings from Ganpati bappa. The wait was long but we visited on weekenda so crowd was expected. But everyone was patient and standing in lines. No Chaos.

It houses a library, picture gallery and memorabilia related to the freedom movement. The entrance fees are Rs. 20 per person and Rs. 10 per student. This museum is open from 9.30 am to 6 pm everyday. Photography is allowed inside the museum. One can purchase souvenirs at the reception desk. However, it was more crowded with foreigners and less crowded with Indian tourists. Had roamed inside the entire museum building, admired the artifacts and got a glimpse of the life of Mahatma Gandhi. This museum is an ideal place for families, school children as well as history lovers. It is a must visit and should not be missed.

Worth the trip to say youve been. There is a fee to enter but it is minimal and if you go with a guide it’s usually covered. It is a straight for historical place where you will need to read through most of the history. My guide let me know that the home as it stands today is not the home of Gandhi. There are photos on one of the floors that show you what it was like when he was there. This location is more of a representation of his work and what he stood for.

Amazing place that everyone should visit. I appreciate how well they maintain it, how clean they keep things, and how well the lighting is set up. I enjoy returning time and time again. The staff was excellent; they let us to take pictures with attractive people and informed us that it was strictly forbidden to take pictures of individual monuments. People love to take selfies, and they keep a very low profile. Finally, I would want to thank the wonderful person that created this work so perfectly and without wax.

When in Bombay gaining a theatre experience is among must to do things.. This place is very unique in its own way.. the vibes of the acting.. tasty food at the cafe.. looking at the artists acting so naturally.. each and every experience is unique and mesmerising.. P.S. if you are lucky you can also spot some great artists there..

We visited 2 shows at this theatre. One was on a Thursday at 9PM by the name Tajmahal ka Udhghaatan in Hindi costing Rs. 250 and the other was on a Saturday at 9PM by the name Water Lily’s The Greatest Show on Earth in English costing Rs. 710. First one was good. The second one was mind blowing. The theatre’s acoustics, lighting and sound were good. It can hold upto 150 people. The stage is big enough for the audience to view the performers from any seat. We could not visit the attached Prithvi Cafe though since there was a long queue ( via app ). But if you do get a chance, do visit the cafe. Heard a good review about it from a friend. Definitely recommended ✅ Visited on 06.04.2023 and 08.04.2023 Reviewed on 10.04.2023

Loved the place. It was like going back to the earlier days of theatre. Could feel the vibes of the Kapoor's. Do keep up with the Legacy of the Kapoor family who have contributed positively for the betterment of society through their contribution in Cinema and theatre.

Spread was good. Food was nice However waiting was on higher side and also seats are not that comfortable. Best part above the place is the vibe it carries with their lovely Irish coffee and garlic bread !!

Prithvi cafe is always a pleasure to visit. Great place and ambience to hang out with friends with amazing food! Just that the last time we went, we had to wait too much and we eventually eneded up leaving. So book a table well in advance if you're planning to go post evening.

Watch a play here. It’s a fantastic experience. Space is intimate. They have a cafe that serves good food. The experience of performing here is also very good. They have a fantastic green room, light/ sound area. Stage gives you a nice energy to perform. It’s one of the best places to stage a play.

I had the pleasure of attending a play at Prithvi Theatre last night, and I was blown away by the experience. The theater is small and intimate, which makes it feel like you're right in the middle of the action. The acoustics are excellent, and the stage is well-lit. The play I saw was a Hindi comedy, and the actors were all very talented. I laughed so hard that my sides hurt! In addition to the theater, Prithvi also has a cafe and a bar. The food is delicious, and the service is excellent. I would highly recommend Prithvi Theatre to anyone who loves theater or who is looking for a unique cultural experience in Mumbai.

Even if you are late by a minute, you are not allowed inside which is right but there is no parking space and you need good 20 minutes to park and walk to the theatre! I don't know why they don't have numbered seating. We have to line up and stuff. So even if u get to the theatre 30mins before, there is a long queue already and u don't get a seat of ur choice.u can't carry food inside.and once the show starts u r not allowed inside. But if ur sitting in the first row u r almost face to face with the actors. And please please please don't walk or step on the stage.

Easily one of the best venues for hosting plays in Mumbai! Attended a Christmas special Jazz concert here. Seating is limited so place doesn’t get too crowded. They simply scan the M-ticket you’re clear to enter. The interior is a very special place. The vibe is very intimate. There’s barely any gap between the stage and seating area. The acoustics are perfectly suited for the spoken word. Though for a Jazz concert, I found that the instrumentals drown out the vocals slightly. Perfect for just a jazz instrumental quartet, I’d surmise. We even stopped at the iconic Prithvi Cafe though it was a bit disappointing. Would definitely love to come here for a play!

It was a good experience going in, although we encountered electrical issues inside the theatre which led to sparks flying off the ceiling which scared everyone to a great extent. The prompt response and fixing of the issue was affirming. Apart from that, the ambience is good, would definitely love to try the food the next time I visit.

As it was a Monday evening, we didn't have to wait long which is always a plus. We were seated at the innermost table, right next to the kitchen which was a bit unfortunate as the general noise and constant movement clashed with the relaxing ambience of the rest of the cafe. Though the view of the cafe decor from that table made up for it. We ordered nachos with veggies, fries, a veggie pizza and a mixed sauce pasta all veg of course. The food didn't take long to arrive which was a big plus point. Nachos, the first to arrive were great very cheese and crunchy and overall delicious. The fries were good and so was the pasta. The pizza though was perfect. Absolutely perfect. 10/10 would recommend. Not too heavy either. As for the drinks, we ordered an iced tea , watermelon mojito, a sweet lime soda and a filter coffee. All were great but my personal fav was the watermelon mojito. The service was efficient and flexible. The food was delicious. The decor was something different. And it was a budget friendly meal. Nothing more I could ask for.

Wonderful open space...I was at the Shakuntala Kulkarni exhibition. The dark glaring images were true to the title....quieter than silence and penetrating the veil that hides the changes women's bodies go through. There was no one in the space and I enjoyed being with these pieces sketched by the artist in locked down. Thank you.

As Mumbai is the Wealthy City of India and that too the City of Film Stars and Business Man, Railway Station does not qualify as per the build and Infrastructure and Facilities available at CSMT Railway Station. However for a Lower Class People things will be good but for Middle class communities OK OK and Upper Class will never want to come to such areas. However, local bodies and government is putting as much as efforts to keep the infrastructure clean and classy.

Very neat and clean place, even when there is lot of traffic and people. Local and state level trains are running from this station. Very busy and almost safe place for every one. Peace of mind feels here. One of the best church in India I feel. Personal photos are not allowed. Neat and clean washrooms available. There is a belief that one can take oath for any of the health diseases and it surely recover here. One can lit candles on opposite side fire place. Wax Pieces of human legs,hands etc. are sold on outside shops. Every year there is a fair for one week starting on 8th of September. Autos, Buses and Taxis are available at Bandra Railway station around 3 km away.

What a peaceful and beautiful place! It's located high on top of a hill, the view is beautiful. When we reached there, it was closed. We didn't know that they close it from 1pm to 3pm. It was clean, easy parking available. Overall a nice experience.

The Basilica is very beautiful, serene and calm. One can buy candles, idols, crosses and other offerings from the market outside. A perfect place to pray, reflect and be at peace. The altar is adorned with flowers and the church ostends intricate ornate artworks, illustrations, spiritual quotes and decorations.

It's a 100 year old Church and really beautiful. Normal days it's recommended to check the timings but during the Mount Mary Fair, it's open from 10 am to 10 pm. During the fair it's just amazing, the vibe is so good but lots of traffic. Lot of people come for mannat here and have had success

Nice Basilica on a small hillock overlooking the Arabian sea. Fairly large hall adorned with beautiful idol and several depiction of stories from Bible. The building itself is quite beautiful and was under repairs at time of visit (Dec 2023) Sit in peace and pray. Removing shoes is not mandatory but may devotees take other out. Free entry, large parking space inside the premises and outside as well.

The place was brimming with activities and lots of movements as we visited it during easter. It is always a calming experience to visit here. Don't forget to walk a little further and enjoy the quiteness of cane road.

A famous market in Mumbai. People from all over Mumbai and literally from Suburbs visit here. The products are cheaper and do check it properly before purchasing as some of them are defective. There are antiques, makeup stuff, earrings and also clothes. I bought 4-6 clothes some were really good and few were not that good.

We as Mumbaikar never got a chance to visit inside such awesome places. Every one must visit this monument for Heritage Tour initiative by Maharashtra State Tourism.

Bombay High Court is one of the oldest High Courts in India, and it’s a UNESCO-recognised site. It was built in the 19th century, in the grand Gothic Revival architectural style. And you'll find traces of Victorian style too. Here, you can click photographs of this heritage building and visit the museum within the premises. The museum of Bombay High Court provides plenty of information about the Indian judicial system and Indo-British legal history. It has preserved many historical documents too. And while you're here, you can also be a part of the ongoing hearings. The court looks after the events in Maharashtra and Goa. A must visit place,if you come to explore South Bombay. The beauty of the monument will surely leave you in awe. The birds flying over it,makes it more beautiful. Most of all, it's very picturesque. A 15 min walk from CST station. Flora Fountain stands beautifully next to Hutatma Statue. Flora Fountain has a roman goddess Flora, which was erected by the then British government. Don't forget to look at the old tram tracks preserved by pavement blocks. The Hutatma statue next to it holds a beautiful lawn map of Maharashtra and a raging torch to salute Martyrs who fought for Mumbai's inclusion in Maharashtra. The book market near Flora fountain is a must visit for book lovers where we can get almost any book at a low price. I visited the Mumbai in the month of October and this place is one of the place I visited with when i was in Mumbai. I love to visit this place and the surrounding is very nice and it is very beautiful place. If you are going to visit mumbai then i will suggest to visit this place and list this place in your list of mumbai planning.

A beautiful landmark and a place of attraction for tourists visiting Mumbai. This marvelous fountain is more than 150 years old and stands at the end of D N Road in fort area. Even the daily commuters and office goers look at this with awe.

Old statue built during the colonial era. It is a nice spot for pictures and relaxation. Recommended to come here on Sundays as the cried is less. As you walk around you will discover the Bombay Stock Exchange, restaurants and churches.

Such a beautiful place to visit. Reminds me of my college days. The weather was just apt. I was returning back after a seminar and the skyline interspersed with dark feathery clouds in the midst of a clear blue sky with this beautiful monument in front was just too much to miss. It made me stop back and click some pics of this great European style monument which adds so much beauty to the buildings around it. Worth a visit if you are passing by to admire it's beautiful architecture.

This square is amazing. Suddenly you will get immersed in Victorian era buildings as far as you can see. Very nice and well maintained. Though I hope the metro construction and upcoming projects don't foreshadow the architectural marvels of this square.

The place is situated in a not so well maintained area. But inside it is really clean. There is a ticket of 25 rupees to get inside. The place offers beautiful views and have a beautiful garden inside. The greenery is so good. Can relax here for some hours. Otherthan caves nothing that special. The carvings on the caves is really beautiful. It is said this is one of the haunted place in Mumbai.

It's pleasant to visit these caves at any season and any weather. These single store carvings of caves, rooms, Homes, Halls, Statutes and every thing using a single rock. It's a brilliant piece of art from the ancient Indian society which looks likes it was being designed by an architect having every thing well planned and proper on its place. Ticket is 20 Rs. Per person and you can book at online by scanning the QR code displayed at entrance gate.

The site itself is pretty but there's not much to see. Unfortunately the most elaborate designs and carvings were lost overtime. The remaining things to be seen are bare Caves and some channels carved in the floors to channel the waters. In one cave there's some leftovers of carvings that got eroded unfortunately. The entrance price for foreigners is 250 rupees while it is 20 rupees for Indians (12.5 times more for foreigners, maybe a bit too much?!?!). The area that surrounds the caves is a slum so be prepared to see a lot of trash and not enjoyable sceneries. If you are not passing by I don't recommend you to come just to visit the caves.

It's a old cave. Nice place to hangout. But not rich in sculpture or art. Worth one time visit. Parking is not good, be Careful. There are no fees to enter. Good on bright sunny day, on rainy days rocks will be little slippery.

Awesome place, nice greenery view from top of this hill. This historical site is maintained under the Geological Survey of India. And the entry fee is taken by them for travellers is 25 rupees for each. It's another name is Kondivite Caves. This Buddhist monastery consists of total 19 caves, out of which 15 caves are in line & to the south-east side and left 4 caves are opposite side of that small hill. The largest volume of the cave is cave 9, where lord Buddha and some fellow figures are sculptured but all are mutilated. A Buddha stupa is in there also. It is the most holy place out of the all the caves. The whole place is very neat and clean and there are drinking water place, bio toilet and sitting chairs also available in the green garden in front of the caves. From the evening time they do not allow any traveller to stay inside the caves area.

The entry fees for the Caves is Rs.25 for Indian Citizen and Rs.300 for Foreign Citizen. These caves are locally known as Mahakali caves.There are total of 19 rock-cut monuments built between 1st century BCE and 6th century CE. 15 on south-east face of the hill and 4 on the north-west face. Caves are carved out of a solid black basalt rock.The largest cave at Kondivite [Cave 9] has seven depictions of the Buddha and figures from Buddhist mythology but all are mutilated. It is a Grade I Heritage structure. Metal benches are available to sit and relax. Good place for photo shoot. Washroom & drinking water available. Limited Parking area is available.

direct bus to mahakali caves from andheri station, hassle free entry, best for a morning walk, walk of 45min, not for couples, the caves are so cool. the greenery is worth it if you need an escape from all the noise in the city. you can pay entry fee by cash/upi and its only 20 something. please do carry water bottles/energizers and wear a good pair of shoes. do not litter the place. the security guards are kind.

An ancient rock cut caves located on a hillock   in Andheri. These caves are one of the oldest in Mumbai and is under the ASI. Earlier known as Kondivita Caves, these caves are visited by Indian and foreign tourists. There are 19 rock cut caves carved out of a solid basalt rock. There is a small garden in front of the caves. One can get views of the surrounding area on top of the hill. Earlier, there was no entrance fee. Now, the entrance fees are Rs. 20 per Indian and Rs. 300 per foreigner. One has to fill the form and pay the fees online upfront. These caves are open from 9 am to 5 pm everyday. There are mobile toilets and small wash basin installed in the vicinity. Had visited these caves, admired the rock cut sculptures and saw the water cisterns cover with leaves on top of the hill. These caves are an ideal place for families as well as history lovers. It is a must visit and should not be missed.

An art lovers paradise. So many creative concepts brought together by talented artists. It's a pleasure to walk through the lanes of arts, crafts, stalls selling different products and admiring art installations. Some you might understand, some you won't but definitely worth a visit. The only downside is the tremendous crowd, heat and endless walking amongst a sea of people. If you're a true art lover, then you won't mind! Each year, this place inspires me by bringing something unique and out of the box.

I went to visit the Kala Ghoda Art festival on the last day. It was a pleasant experience with lots of art installed. The theme was waste and sustainability. The art pieces installed were overall pretty nice and well thought. The place however was very crowded and everyone was busy clicking pictures. Overall I had a lot of fun there. Also there were many shops and installations selling local items from various states which was really cool.

An annual art festival with art made and inspired by various different artists, firms, organizations which signify and showcase a meaningful message/teaching/marketing. It also has stalls all around it's peripherals where you can buy a product or service. It usually isn't completely made/assembled (some art sculptures) on the first few days and you would usually find a lot of crowd on the ending days.

Visited on a Saturday late afternoon, it's a great experience seeing a lot of artistic demonstrations and some of cultural performances. Although the quality of art could have been much better, and also the placement in a way that people cannot touch it but just observe it.

Artistic experience ! It's a straight walk to all the exhibits although if you're a photographer. Amazing displays every year. Amazing festival, beautiful art and creativy. Must visit with family and friends. Photos are allowed. 15 to 20 min walk from churchgate station, bus is always available. If someone interested in analyzing art then it takes about 1 hr to cross a 10 min street. Good ambience and crowd. There are creative booths for artistic people to show their talent. But the food is too overpriced, I went on the first day of fest in evening. It was too much crowded otherwise nice creative stuff to look out for and buy. Because of lot of crowd you can’t get good click! Everyone is ready to spoil you picture. The crowd is amazing and so are the streets. Parking is a problem. Overall it's an amazing experience.

This art festival is truly incredible. Looking at all their jaw dropping artwork just makes you feel alive! I was amazed by all the beautiful pieces they had, just in pure awe. I felt absolutely no pressure to buy and was shown several extra pieces not on the wall. I look forward to visiting this art gallery, bringing others to look with me and of course to buy from them. I highly recommend this art gallery. Hands down an amazing experience as soon as you walk in the door.

This festival was super fun. Yes it was crowded but that’s how great festivals are. The shops on display were awesome. There was so much to see and any art enthusiast would love it here. The whole place was a riot of colour and well organised. It’s an annual event, worth going here. Do enjoy the pictures I posted and do like it.

I thoroughly enjoyed the festival. Being in Mumbai for so many years I never visited the Kala Ghoda Art Festival. I went along with my parents and they loved the stalls and exhibits, we bought few which were too good to leave. Saw one stall which even featured on Shark Tank India. Everyone should definitely visit and check out the offerings you will be surprised how much small businesses have to offer.

I heard about this museum from social media posts. But I was very happy to go there and see all that. What is old about Indian cinema is still preserved today. The way they cherish those sweet memories of our Indian cinema is amazing. I have never seen such a nice museum and when people see it all they will know how to set up movies in a time where there is no technology but they made so many great movies that we love to watch today. Finally, I would like to advise everyone that if you come to Mumbai, definitely go here once.

It's a well curated museum. Spent more than 4hrs enjoying the galleries and fun activities around. The labels were short and informative. Love the children's section and the activities there. A small section dedicated to Satyajeet Ray is my absolute favourite. I hope they add more merchandise to their museum shop in the future.

Two amazing buildings are contained in this magnificent campus. One is the older mahal, consisting of classical history of Indian Cinema. And the other is a swanky, 4 floor glass facade building inaugurated by our Hon. PM sometime back. Both are amazing places to spend time, learn and just marvel at. Try not to take young kids as they'll probably get bored. The tickets cost Rs.75 at the time I went.

Amazing place to spend time with friends and family. The timings are 11 to 6pm from tuesdays to sundays. We can easily spend hours at this place. It has 2 sections one gulshan mahal where it covers the history of cinema. Whereas the new building covers more of the technological aspects like sound, 3d, vfx and green screen. A must visit place for movie and cinema buffs.

It was my second time here and it was magical even though it was my second time. If you are a movie lover like me you'll love everything here. It is well curated. Divided within 2 buildings. The first time I visited a ticket was for only 20rs and it was free for students but now tickets are for 75 for everyone. It will take the whole day to properly read and experience everything. I definitely will definitely recommend visiting with your family and kids.

Great place in Mumbai, for the people in interest un Indian Movie. Best to visit in the morning because it is having 4 big floors with lot of stuff to explore. Currently the place is less crowded because most people don't know. Taxi drivers also don’t know this place, you need to guide them with the help of Google map. Anyone learning film making must visit this place as you can gain knowledge in Movie history camera, sound, lenses, light, studio, actors, actresses etc.. It's only ₹ 20 for Indians and ₹ 500 for foreigners. It opens at 11am and closes at 6pm in the evening. It remains closed on Monday. You will also see Ambani house in the same road 😀

The insightful information was a treasure trove for movie buffs of all age groups The best part is the free parking, absence of food court, and very reasonably priced tickets. It has such a detailed information of evolution of film making since beginning of our Indian film industry. How it changed during partition and so on. The evolution of Indian cinema is there with the evolution of different lens, camera, bulbs, graphics, VFX etc. They accept online payment including UPI as well as cash.

The NCPA is one of South Mumbai's most prestigious properties, putting on world-class theatrical productions! It's clean, and the staff is friendly, although a little stiff! At the theatre, snacks and tea/coffee are available for purchase. It also has its own, albeit limited, parking spot!

One of the best performance theatres in Mumbai. Had an absolutely amazing time there for the Stop Gaps and Furtados Festival of Festive Music concert. The seats are comfortable and the view is great from any row in the theatre. The acoustics are just great and they use minimal mic so the view of each choir member is not blocked. The surprise of the evening was the rotating stage. It can get a bit chilly so carry a jacket. Parking is available only for members so it is best to come by public transport as finding parking outside the theatre is difficult .

Went here for HSBC Bandish and attended Kavita Krishnamurthy's concert. The theatre is too good with proper seating arrangements and good visibility for everyone in the hall. The NCPA boasts of a rich history and it can be seen in the premises. The vibe of the place is really good. Would love to come again at this place.

The best theatres I have been to from across Bharat. But on the chanakya play that happened on 14-4-24 it was a fiasco because the crowd was worst I had seen. Entering even after Olay started late, constant mobile ringing n 4 times the artist's had to request during play. Rich crowd who could afford expensive tickets but couldn't afford water or lozenges n were constantly coughing. Post intervel ppl entering as if it was garden. Many taking videos from camera. Eating crunchy snacks. Where I was seated it was clear someone had come drunk. The artists were visibly disturbed but maintained their cool. NCPA needs to rethink of how to overcome these foolish mobile owners. Utterly bad experience and clearly showed how inconsiderate many were who came in fancy cars, fancy clothes, fancy mobiles but zero manners. Absolute disgusting.

I had heard a lot about the ISKCON.When I visited ISKCON for the first time with my friend, I felt so good that what can I say, I really liked this place very much. We all friends enjoyed there a lot, I also saw in reels and shorts that this place is liked by all the tourists very much.

The temple provides a serene and peaceful environment. It offers a profound spiritual experience with its devotional atmosphere. The temple's architecture and decor are visually appealing.The temple conducts meaningful and well-organized religious rituals. Hare Krishna 🙏 One can also visit Juhu beach after the temple visit which is hardly 10min from the temple.

This is a beautiful temple built and maintained by Iskcon organization. It has a lot of mesmerizing idols and paintings depicting the life and miracles of Lord Krishna. They give free prasad (khichri) which is delicious. They also have free stall for keeping your shoes. They also have food court and rooms in the temple premises. There is big enough parking available and the temple is clean and well maintained. Do visit if you are in Mumbai.

It's very amazing place to visit, it's feel like short tourism place, over there to see they kept Wall 3D pictures to see what happen before 500 years ago. One of the most fascinating things I felt at this place is how each of the devotees were given a lamp near the idol and let us pray with that. Another interesting thing about this place is that every evening there is some or the other keertans going on. More than peaceful I feel this place is lively. This place has a veg restaurant, a street food corner, a spiritual bookstore, gift shop. This temple complex is a full ecosystem in itself. Id recommend you to visit during the sunset hours as you’ll be able to enjoy the magnificence of the architecture, spirituality and everything in between.

The best part of this place daily during evening time there is some Kirtan going on. I'm lucky enough to sing bhajans with everyone and also darshan of 12:30pm. Also visited the food restaurant Govinda. 😋 the buffet and the staff hospitality was so good ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. A beautiful and spiritual place for Krishna consciousness with devotional chanting and aartis. There is a free shoe storage facility on arrival and hand and feet washing station. Excellent hall inside for prayers. Outside there are many stations for food which is very tasty and without onion or garlic. I especially recommend the Pani Puri. There is also free prashadam and filter water available. The washroom facilities are clean.

This church was declared as a National Shrine in 2004 by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India. This church is also called the "National Shrine of Saint Thomas Cathedral Basilica", or as "Santhome Church". It is a very important church for worldwide Christians as it is the tomb of St. Thomas the Apostle. The church was consecrated as a cathedral in July 1837 concurrent with the appointment of the first Bishop of Bombay, Thomas Carr. The tower and the clock at the western end were added in 1838. About 25 years later a major renovation scheme was launched to enlarge the chancel. This was completed by 1865. Thomas Cathedral is an Anglican Church built in British Empire era, first ever Anglican Church to be built in Mumbai and dedicated to the first apostle of India. The Churchgate railway station derives its name from the St. Thomas Cathedral, as the station was linked to the cathedral by a road leading through one of the three gates of the fortified island city of Mumbai.

we visited this beautiful church which lies in the heart of Fort just a bit inside from Horniman circle. The interior and the walls tell a story of the past and also it is one of the oldest church built by the Britishers in Mumbai. This church is one of the City's oldest standing and well maintained heritage sites from the british era. Please take out some time to look down as the floors are adorned with the memories of the dignitaries from the British Era. The visit to this church felt very peaceful. we even sat down for a while and offered prayer for everybody's well being. It is difficult to not offer a prayer in a beautiful church such as this one. Must visit at least once in a lifetime. This church will seriously transport the visitor to an old era. Main highlight: Aisles, Ambulatory & choir.

Beautiful marble niches with history of fallen soldiers. Also know as the Zero point . Do visit if in that part of the city.

One of the beautiful church that I have come across. We were just talking walk around CST and happened to come across this while visiting nearby hotel. This church is over 300 years old, no extra structures are added, all are intact, well maintained and in its original form. It has also received urban heritage award. Church is built in 1718. I am happy that I visited here.

Came at 6:30 in the morning and was still considered late, awesome experience of authentic Mumbai, now I know where the expression "like a fish market" comes from. Must come for any visit to Mumbai . Can find all types of fish, crabs, shrimps, etc....be prepared to smell like fish afterwords :) 10/10 recommend!!

All 5 sense are enhanced and awoken when visiting this market. Overall it was an amazing experience to see fish being caught and marketed in the ways of the old. It is a far cry from where I am originally from in South Africa. The humbleness and friendliness of the people in the market was admirable. It was a good walk around.

It is so artistically made..there are beautiful paintings on the buildings of fish market. Lot of inspiration for the sketch artists for sure. There is an old Banyan tree which might be easily 150 years old. However, due to fishing activity the stink gets very strong and the place becomes very dirty in the morning time full of fish water and fish blood. This place can be called as heaven for fish eaters and unbearable for the vegetarians who cannot bear the strong smell.

Every fish lover's paradise! Beautiful fresh and reasonable sea fish available amidst all the chaos! Make sure you wear gumboots if possible and carry your own bags!

The urban art sense was quite intriguing. The exhibits were pretty good. Due to the location I believe the arrangements made could be improved. Must wear masks around because the location has active working fisheries and the smell might not be tolerable to some people. It should be visited on the weekdays because the weekends are crowded.

The place is good for art and creative work if anyone is interested..... I like place vibes but being a vegetarian it's very difficult for me to stay a little longer just because of fish🐠🐋🐟 market... But yeah it's really good for different types of art and paintings to watch and take a funky photograph over there...

Time: 60-90 mins easily Bags: You will have to place them in an adjoining room before you enter the museum. You can carry water. Cameras: Though you can carry your phone, you cannot take pictures. One of the best place. Worth to visit. Entry is free. But they won't allow you to take pictures. You have to keep your bags outside. Once you enter you have to enter your details in a ledger. After that the entry gate will opens. Here you can see lots of old coins, notes and all. They kept the coins and currencies of other countries also. Along with this they have the currency of old kingdoms like Maratha, Mysore, Hyderabad, Mughal etc. You can also see different weighing apparatus, Coin punching machines, old stones, ledgers, old knife etc. You may require around one and half hours to see everything. The place is small. But require more time to see as it contains a lot of things. It's closing time will be at 5 30pm. It's worth to visit this place.
