We are delighted that on Saturday 8 June, Richard Thompson will be celebrating his 75th birthday at the Royal Albert Hall!
As already announced Richard will be playing a full electric set with his band, including songs from his fantastic new album Ship to Shore and RT classics.
He’ll also be playing a special birthday celebratory set, where he’ll be joined by some very special people including:

Michael Doucet (Beausoleil)

This package includes:
- Premium Stalls seat
- Welcome glass of champagne upon arrival
- Three-course dinner with half a bottle of wine per person (two courses served before the show, with dessert and tea/coffee served during the interval)
Upon booking a package your table reservation will automatically be arranged for you. If your booking is for more than six guests a pre-order will be required.
Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Stalls VIP Reception
Enjoy a pre-show and interval reception before watching the show from premium seats in the Stalls.
This package includes:
- Premium Stalls seat
- Access to a standing reception before the show and during the interval in an exclusive Royal Albert Hall hospitality area
- Wine, beer and selection of soft drinks available
- Canapés, hot and cold bowl dishes and ice cream
Luxury Box Package
Experience the unique atmosphere of the Royal Albert Hall from your private box. This package is ideal for private or corporate entertaining and offers the highest level of hospitality.
This package includes:
- Private hire of a Loggia (8 seats) or Second Tier Box (4 seats)
- Half a bottle of champagne, half a bottle of wine and half a bottle of mineral water per person, plus a selection of soft drinks
- A dedicated waiter for your Box
- Canapés and a selection of cold dishes served in your box before the show
- Hot bowl dishes and dessert canapés served during the interval
