Someone was smoking cigarettes in the restaurant upon our departure…very off putting!

As ever, Dinner chez le Bistro was superb! Fabulous ambience, Lamb, Steak Frites, wines and service. Our favorite spot, hands down…..!

Hard place to rate. Food is delicious. But the service is awful. The individual servers are working hard but the restaurant is severely understaffed. About 70 seats with one bartender and maybe 3 or 4 servers. The servers were also bussing the tables. Reservation was at 7:15, seated at 7:40, got menus at 8:00 and first drinks at 8:15. Long wait between courses and having table cleared. But great food. So either prepare to be patient or skip it until they staff up.

Booked our 28th wedding anniversary dinner for Saturday 5/18. Restaurant was busy so service was understandably a little slow. Our appetizers were good. One hour and forty minutes after sitting down the waiter tells me order is unavailable. I had checked in with him periodically when everyone around us was getting their food and was told it was coming up. I'm think the order was never placed. My wife was crushed. Had to ask for a manager to get things resolved. They comp'd our apps and drinks, but it was too late to get into another restaurant. Anniversary ruined.

The service was poor. The server failed to put in one of our four food orders. He brought out the wrong side. He lost my credit card when processing payment.

This was a new restaurant for my life partner and I . We are frequent customers at Bistro L'Hermitage in Occoquan and were excited at the idea of a new eatery in Vienna. We were welcomed nicely at our arrival and indicated we would sit at the bar until our reservation time. We sat for 10 minutes before we were served and then were ushered to our table. The restaurant is clean and has a great "Bistro Feel'. However, the service is marginal even with a significant number of staff. The menu is interesting but unfortunately the food product is very much under par. The pear salad had un-ripened pears, and the mushroom appetizer barely had a few mushrooms. The main courses were equally disappointing. The lamb special had extremely tough lamb and completely under cooked carrots. The Sole amandine acceptable but over seasoned and had no lemons and too few almonds. Generally we were very disappointed. We hope they improve over time...

It was Mothers Day so I’m sure it was a hectic day. The owner stopped by our table and was very nice. They were out of the brunch pastry basket which was disappointing as that’s what mom wanted. We didn’t get water to our table until well into the meal. Likewise we got coffee and tea, but didn’t get cream and sugar until they were cold. Couldn’t get the attention of wait staff and had to ask for things multiple times because they would forget. We liked the feel of the place but I don’t think we’d go back, service just wasn’t worth it and it took nearly 2 hours to get through brunch.

service was rude, it was mothersday and my mom couldnt have the mothersday special because we did not buy a ticket that was never offered and then they didnt offer.
