Deja Vu
Paula takes on a more dramatic role as Claire Kuchever, a young woman who dies in an explosion. Special Agent Douglas Carlin, played by Denzel Washington, is sent to investigate in this time-travel thriller.
Idlewild
Paula plays the beautiful Angel Davenport, a singer from St. Louis and the love interest of Percival in this 2006 musical film written and directed by Brian Barber–the same director behind musical videos from rappers including 2 Chainz, Bow Wow, and Kanye West.
Percival plays piano at a local club called Church, where Angel performs. After finding success, the lovers make plans to leave town together, but their future is threatened when tragedy strikes.
Jumping the Broom
This 2011 romance comedy-drama earned Paula an NAACP Image Awards nomination for Outstanding Actress in a Motion Picture. The film’s leading man, Laz Alonso, won the award for Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture. The film was also nominated for Outstanding Motion Picture and earned comedian Mike Epps an award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture.
Baggage Claim
Patton is Montana Moore, a pathologically single 30-something airline flight attendant desperate to get her mother, played by the legendary actress Jenifer Lewis, to stop pushing her to get married. To make matters more complex, her sister Sheree, played by actress Lauren London, gets engaged, only causing Montana’s mother to pack on the pressure.
Warcraft
Paula steals the spotlight in this action fantasy film based on the video games series of the same name as the half-human, half-Orc warrior woman Garona. One of the most crucial parts of the film’s storyline, Paula’s, gives one of the most memorable performances in the movie.
