‘Dilemma’ released + NYE performance announced

Green Day dropped the third single, ‘Dilemma’, from Saviors today along with another solid video directed by Ryan Baxley (seen being held by the band in the above photo for this story) who seems to have been tapped to direct all the videos for this record. The video depicts Billie having a wild night with his bandmates and touring members, along with other members of Green Day’s friend circle, to fill out the party atmosphere.

‘Dilemma’ has been getting rave reviews so far from fans, so make sure you head over to the Saviors page and add a star rating for the song. For the singles released so far, ‘The American Dream Is Killing Me’ is holding a 4.5/5 rating with fans while ‘Look Ma, No Brains’ is at 4.8/5 – making it the second highest rated song in the band’s catalogue behind only ‘Jesus Of Suburbia’.

We also got word that the Japanese edition of Saviors will have an extra song attached making it a 16 track album versus the 15 songs the rest of the world will get. The song ‘Fever’ will be featured as the extra track, which fans may recognize as one of the leaked song snippets that surfaced several months ago. No word yet if ‘Fever’ will be included on a potential deluxe edition of the album for the rest of the world.

In other news, Green Day have also been announced as performers for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. The band will be playing five songs(!) including the new single ‘Dilemma’. As with the last time the band were on the show in 2019, the performance is expected to be pre-taped since Billie Joe and Mike Dirnt already have plans to ring in the New Year with a Coverups show.
