Gusto (pronounced Goo-sto) means tasty in Italian. Since opening our doors in 2012, Gusto 101 has been serving up modern takes on Southern Italian classics. As with Trattoria Nervosa in Yorkville, Janet Zuccarini has meshed a passion for creating memorable food with a vision for delivering soulful, transporting dining experiences.

We put as much care and consideration into our food and drink as we do our architecture and design. Located in a repurposed garage in the heart of downtown Toronto, our restaurant has become a neighbourhood gathering place. Whether you’re craving the warmth of a wood-fired grill or a glass of wine on our rooftop patio, we do our best to merge the everyday with the exceptional.

    Tables were too close in the middle, making it very difficult to chat with loud conversations around. Service and food were top notch.

    The food is good, terrible service. From the moment my friends and I arrived, the hostess was rude and unwelcoming. This immediately affects the experience I am about to have. This has happened multiple times and makes me consider not going back...

    Great menu and service. My only complaint was the noise level upstairs, there were a couple of large groups and the sound reflected off the glass ceiling and made conversation for me almost impossible. I do have a bit of hearing loss so for others it may not be an issue. But they were able to find a table downstairs so it was a great evening. I will go back. The steak was excellent and great value. Perfect to share along with the pasta and two appetizers we had.

    Amazing food and great service. Two of our party have celiac disease, and they accommodated with gluten free versions of pasta dishes (the mushroom and the spicy tomato with cheese). Both were amazing. The server was incredible, and we had the best time.
