How Demi Moore Achieved a Net Worth of $150 Million

According to Forbes magazine actors like Dwayne Johnson, Chris Hemsworth, and Bradley Cooper have had the most lucrative acting deals due to their huge profiles. These actors can assure production companies big audiences that will guarantee them high sales. For an actress that has played in more than ten television shows, two music videos, and twenty movies, Demi Moore has attained substantial commercial success. Moore is an American movie producer and actress who was born on November 11th, 1962.

Moore's birthplace is the city of Roswell, New Mexico, but her family moved a lot because of her father's job nature. The actress had quite a rough childhood as someone reportedly raped her when she was 15 years old, and she dropped out of high school the following year. She has openly admitted that her adopted father, Dan Guynes, raised her and that she does not know her biological father. Apart from having a successful acting career, Moore is a talented songwriter and has co-composed three songs with her ex-husband, famous rock star, Freddy Moore. Check out how Demi Moore net worth reached $150 million.

She started modeling at an early age

Modeling is a very glamorous sector of the entertainment industry since big paychecks and hefty bonuses characterize it. It is worth noting that supermodel Kendall Jenner earned $18 million in 2018, making her the highest-paid model of the year. At the age of 16, Moore signed a modeling contract with a France modeling company called Elite Modelling Agency, a modeling management firm that was established in 1972 and has had a long-standing reputation in the world of modeling. In the same year, Moore traveled to Europe, where she worked as a glamour and fashion model. It is during this time that she appealed to millions of fans and met her ex-husband, Freddy Moore. Two years later, the adult magazine called "Oui" featured her on their front page, where she was photographed nude. Her venture into the modeling world created a foundation for Moore as a young celebrity. She raked in a considerable amount of money due to her engagement in the modeling business.

She was once the highest paid actor in film industry history

In 1996, Moore was the highest-paid actress in movie history after receiving a check of $12.5 million to act as the main character in the erotic black comedy film, "Strip Tease." Demi played Erin Grant, an ex- FBI secretary that loses the guardianship of her daughter to her former spouse, Robert Patrick. Erin has also lost her job and has no option but to work as a stripper in a Miami strip club to cater to the cost of getting her daughter back. As the movie ends, Erin quits her stripping business when she gets her daughter's custody again, and the court sentences her former husband for his criminal activities. Despite low local box office sales, the movie was a huge success and ended up selling an estimated $113 million against a $50 million budget. In an interview with Explore Entertainment, producer Dawn Steel stated that "Strip Tease" creators knew that they needed sexy women to make a hit erotic film. Dawn goes on to add that the movie's producers saw Moore and her co-star Sharon as the perfect hottest women to play in such a film, thus paying them a lot of money for their roles.

She was paid $11 million for playing in "G.I Jane."

"G.I Jane" is an American produced action movie that first showed on August 22nd in 1997. It is a creation of caravan pictures, Scott Free Productions in partnership with Largo Entertainment, and was directed by Ridley Scott. Even though Stinkers Bad Movie Awards nominated the film for the Most Annoying Fake Accent given to Viggo Mortensen, the movie was a massive hit. In 1988 the cinema received four nominations and won two of them. MTV Awards nominated the film for Best Fight, and it also scooped the Motion Picture Sound Editor's Award for Best Sound Editing. Demi had to shave her hair to match the role of O'Neill in the movie. She reportedly carried home a whopping $11.4 million check, one of the highest pays for any female actress at that time.

Divorce settlements

Demi Moore's love life has been a bit complicated over the years. She never got a stable marriage, having been married three times and divorcing in all three marriages. She was first married to Freddy Moore. She then married Bruce Willis in 1990, and the two lived together for ten years. They gave birth to three daughters, namely Scott LaRue, Tallulah Bele, and Rumer, who were still young at the time of the divorce. After the divorce was processed, Demi received a divorce settlement of $90 million, which is ranked by media Telstra as the ninth most expensive divorce settlement in history. In November 2011, Moore split up with her third husband after six years of marriage. In a divorce complaint filed in 2011, Demi cited she wanted to leave her husband due to 'irreconcilable differences.' The two agreed on a financial settlement, whose amount they did not disclose.

Endorsement deals, social media profile charity, and event appearance

Similar to superstars like Angelina Jolie, whose endorsement deal with Louis Vuitton alone is worth $10 million, cooperate partnerships have proven to be very profitable to celebrities. Demi also earns a lot of money through her endorsements and sponsorships partners. According to NetworthBuzz, Demi ears around $790 to $1,320 paid per Instagram post. Her social media platforms command a considerable number of followers, with over 500 thousand followers on Instagram alone. She also has 4.7 million followers on Twitter and over 2 million Facebook followers. Demi Moore is the brand ambassador of various top brands in the world, and more than $20 million of her fortune came through such endorsements.
