Black Devil – Disco Club

This one sounds really good. Can recommend this release. Great album!

Excellent 70s sinister electro-disco.
Doesn’t sound dated in the least. It’s so good that I had to get the Italian original press (this) and the French original. The originals both sound fantastic

"Obscure" space disco, decades ahead of its time, must have, good Alter K pressing.

THE AUDIO on the 2015 'remasters' - both vinyl and CD, sound horrendous. It's over-compressed to the point it hurts your ears, no dynamic range, distortion with scratches and pops on some songs (which suggests it's taken from vinyl) and for some reason, there are cuts in nearly every track where it seems to have been edited due to tape damage. The attemtps to fix are poor, with bodged loops where a segment of the track has been badly copy/pasted (evident on No Regrets, not present on the original), what's that all about? Not a good reissue at all, go for an original (as usually is the case).

They did a very good job with this reissue. The record itself, sleeves and labels are neat and of very good quality. About the sound, it has a little sibilance, but the mix sounds bright, with powerful bass. I played it on my home system, but I bet this one would be a killer played through a serious amp and speakers.

Excellent piece of work, I agree, nevertheless it looks to me that "H" Friend is short-sampled version of Moroder's From Here To Eternity.

Fantastic to see this masterpiece on CD finally. It sounds amazing. Thumbs up!

A Discogs member recently stated, "It's not rare, just a hoax, carefully planned with lots of hype. Not a lost 1978 disco classic at all. More like 1998!"

Black Devil ‎– Disco Club is absolutely not a Hoax.
Although the original pressing from 1978 may not be "rare", it is certainly scarce, as you can see. 800+ Discogs Lovers want this and only a few available copies for sale currently. (At times throughout the last decade I've seen none for sale.) Rephlex reissued this underground disco masterpiece in 2004 with a series of three 12"s and one cd, however, which allowed new audiences exposure to this gem.

The reissues devalued this original pressing somewhat, but it's still very desirable. Also, none of the reissues present all six tracks. You must buy a combination of two reissues to get all the tracks.
If I had the bux I would buy an original pressing.
