Traditions are so very important especially today when everything seems so disposable. The care and love that Norm Jewison gave in the making of this film and the way each of the leads explored their own personal evolutions while doing this film makes this one of thee most important musicals of all time. It's personal and it is reflected in each deliberate choice made in its making. Mazel Tov to the makers of the documentary. We are better for having had Sholem Aleichem, Marc Chagall and Norm Jewison converge to create and inspire this great work.
