Synopsis

Sally, a girl of the tenements, is adopted by neighbors Sandy Mack, Abraham Lapidowitz, and Tony Garibaldi upon her mother's death, and subsequently leads a happy home life with her foster fathers. Jimmie Adams, a young plumber who loves Sally, visits the house frequently. The group is broken up when Mrs. Mansfield, Sally's wealthy aunt, takes the girl away to her luxurious home to give her the advantages of social position; she also introduces Sally to Chester Drake, a very wealthy young man. When Sally invites her foster fathers and Jimmie to her eighteenth birthday party, she is embarrassed by their table manners. Mrs. Mansfield tells of Sally's interest in Adams, causing Jimmie to leave her, but Sally learns of her aunt's social snobbery and is reunited with him before he sets sail on a ship.
