Debraca Denise Foxx is the adoptive daughter of late actor and comedian John Elroy Sanford aka Redd Foxx.
Denise was born to Redd Foxx’s second wife, Betty Jean Harris, and her previous partner. However, after John’s relationship with Betty, he adopted her.

Married to Businessman Ralph Russell
Debraca Denise got married in June 1975 to the Los Angeles businessman, Ralph Russell in a lavish ceremony worth $40,000. The two walked down the aisle in the Grand Ballroom of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.
There were over 450 guests seated in concentric circles. The bride wore a white chiffon gown by Holan Miller. The best man was Deimion Schott, the maid of honor was Antoinette Woods.
The bride’s mother also hosted a party at her Toluca Estate home for their close friends and relatives.
Prior to her marriage, she was rumored to be in a relationship with Jackie Jackson.
Father was Absent from Her Wedding
Debraca Denise’s father, Redd Fox was not present on her wedding day and the reason for his absence was rumored to be problems arising from his divorce against Betty Jean Harris.
Close associates of the celebrity comedian say that Foxx felt he was snubbed by his estranged wife because the gold wedding invitation read,
Mrs. Redd Foxx requests the honor of your presence at the marriage of her daughter, Debraca Denise to Mr. Ralph Russell.
Debraca Denise’s Parents’ Marriage and Sepration
Debraca Denise’s parents Redd Foxx and Betty Jean Harris married on July 5, 1956. The pair first met at a nightclub where she was working as a singer. They saw each other backstage but Foxx didn’t pay any attention to her.
Redd later proposed to her while she was singing along with her two sisters and got married in 1956.
While getting married, Betty had to agree to give up her singing profession to become a full-time housewife. Though she liked showbiz, she loved being Redd’s wife!
Even though I liked show business a whole lot, I like being Mrs. Redd Foxx even more.
Although she was asked to be a full-time housewife, she had to handle her partner’s five LA record stores and several other business ventures.
Unfortunately, in 1974, the pair parted ways due to Foxx’s infidelity. Foxx filed for divorce after 18 years on the grounds of incompatibility.
According to the documents obtained, he prevented his former partner from “removing, hiding, or secreting property” from their home in Las Vegas. She also had to return the $110 thousand that was removed from his bank accounts.
Her Father’s Other Three Marriage
Besides her mother, her father has married three other women: Evelyn Killebrew, Joi Yun Chin Chung, and Ka Ho Cho.
Redd Foxx was first married to Evelyn Killebrew from 1948 to 1951. For the third time, he got married to Joi Yun Chin Chung on December 31, 1976, at the Thunderbird Hotel in Las Vegas. In 1981, their divorce got finalized and Joi was given $300,000 as a divorce settlement.
After 10 years of their third divorce, Foxx married Ka Ho Cho in July 1991 at Little Church of the West in Las Vegas. They were together until Foxx’s death on October 11, 1991.
Step-Mom Ka Ho Cho Accused Her
On the day of Redd Foxx’s demise, he left a whopping $3.6 million as an outstanding tax bill. In 2007, John Cahill was put on charge after the former administrator Debraca Denise Foxx failed to pay taxes.
A year before, Ka Ho Cho accused Debraca of embezzling money instead of paying taxes. Denise couldn’t reveal the revenue details from royalties, residuals, and licensing deals since her dad’s demise.
Till 2010, Cahill brought in $101,000 revenue for the estate. CBS paid $5,000 for a video clip of Redd. Similarly, Hallmark paid $3,000 for using Foxx’s image on their greeting card.
There seems to be no new news about Redd Foxx’s estates.
