What travelers are saying
- egwanderlustHampton, NH1,722 contributionsHouse of the Seven Gables has always held a special place in my heart. I remember finding it fascinating as a kid and still do to this day. During our most recent trip, our tour guide Frank, was awesome and knew the history. The Secret Staircase has always been the best part of the tour. If you don't feel like spending the $25 for the mansion tour, you can still tour the beautifully decorated grounds at a cheaper price. I highly recommend booking tickets in advance, especially on weekends and the Fall months. This is an attraction that you won't want to miss!Written June 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mark PSwampscott, MA2,385 contributionsThis is a terrific museum in the heart of Salem. The collection is varied and quite good, and the exhibitions are invariably well curated and interesting.

The benches have their name and execution method. People leave flowers and other memorials. It was a nice quiet place to walk and ponder how whacko those witch hunters were back then.Written May 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - hoben57Houston, TX88 contributionsThis is nice old cemetery (if you're in to those places) with some old headstone which are in very good shape. We made a nice liesurely walk through the cemetery looking some of the headstones we could read. It's worth a look. I would have given 5 stars but some of the vegetation was blocking parts of the headstones making it difficult to read. They should tidy up the place.Written May 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Christina BMatawan31 contributionsI have been going to Salem in October for 13 years and I visit Gallows Hill EVERY SINGLE VISIT! I have done all three offerings.
