September 25, 1964Musical-comedy star Mary martin and the comedy team of Mike Nichols and Elaine May are Jack's guests on the first show of the new season. Jack shows films of his recent visit to Miss Martin's ranch in Brazil, where she raises chickens and cattle. Mary also appears in person to sing on the program. The Nichols-May comedy team, which made its TV debut on Jack's "Tonight" show in 1957, makes the first of six scheduled appearances.

October 2, 1964Jack's guests are comedian Jackie Vernon, sportscaster Joe Garagiola and humorist Malcolm Muggeridge. Garagiola joins Paar in a humorous salute to baseball that includes films of past World Series and All-Star games. Muggeridge, former editor of the British magazine Punch, discusses the coming U.S. elections and the "Mods" and "Rockers," Britain's two leading teenage groups.
