Playing guitar was how he made money between acting gigs when he started out.

That song speaks to tons of us guitar players about the intimacy we have with our guitars, great job Jeff! Another one that does that for me is ‘ me and my guitar’ by the late Tony Rice.

I listened to a radio interview with him on NPR when I had an hour and a half commute to work. He was playing some really excellent Piedmont style blues and said that he had just recently started studying fingerstyle blues….I can’t recall who he said he studied under…Corey Harris maybe? But…he sounded real good.

Wow. Thanks for posting that. Had no idea.

Me either!... evidently he has like 450 originals

I bet he’s listened to a lot of Guy Clark.

What a good line

There are certain songwriters that knew just how to write a perfect line. Guy Clark was one of them.

So were John Prine, Townes Van Zandt, and Justin Townes Earle.

Bob Dylan, too. He just shouldn't have been singing his lyrics.

I've been watching that new series on netflix. Daniels really brings it for that despicable Croker character. A while back I saw the Ben Daniels band at a bar show. They were pretty good, but it doesn't look like they've been active for the past five years.

I call this song "who's chopping onions?"

I think Jeff Daniels & Jeff Bridges should go on the road together as Harry & The Dude.

u/jarrodandrewwalker avatar

I'd go to that show in a heartbeat... especially if John Goodman shows up with a harmonica

Harry, The Dude, and Walter!

Jeff Daniels and the "At Least It's An Ethos" band!
