Kylie Jenner and Tyga Break Up

Kylie Jenner and Tyga have been dating since 2014

Kylie Jenner and Tyga have called it quits.

PEOPLE has confirmed that the Keeping up with the Kardashians star, 18, and the rapper, 26, are no longer together after nearly two years of dating.

They were most recently seen together at the Met Gala on May 2. Though they walked the red carpet separately, Jenner and Tyga sat side-by-side at a table shared with Kim Kardashian and husband Kanye West, Kris Jenner and boyfriend Corey Gamble, among others.

The split comes days after news that Tyga’s ex and Jenner’s soon-to-be sister-in-law Blac Chyna, 28, is expecting a child with fiancé Rob Kardashian, 29.

After months of squabbling, Jenner and Chyna, 27, recently called a truce. “The girls were super shocked at first about the pregnancy news, especially Kylie,” the source tells PEOPLE. “But at this time, Kylie especially was pushed to swallow her pride and support her family, even if she didn’t want to. She’s doing it for the greater good of everyone involved.”

Rumors that the Jenner and Tyga were romantically involved began swirling in fall 2014 when Jenner was underage. Tyga confirmed they were dating in March 2015, and the couple became much more open about the relationship after Jenner turned 18 in August, with Tyga giving Jenner a $320,000 Ferrari for her birthday and with the Keeping up with the Kardashians documenting their relationship on Snapchat.

In the months since they become official, this isn’t the first time Jenner and Tyga have broken up.

Their on-again, off-again relationship has included a split in November, when Jenner skipped Tyga’s birthday party.

A source told PEOPLE at the time Jenner was “absolutely fuming” after the rapper “broke her trust.”

“She’s caught him lying and talking to other girls behind her back before, and this was the last straw,” the source said, adding that she “feels super betrayed and is just so pissed off, damaged and hurt about it.”

The pair reconciled days later as they held hands at the American Music Awards.

The rapper most recently showed up on Jenner’s Instagram as they enjoyed the Coachella music festival in Indio, California.

Jenner, meanwhile, late appeared on Tyga’s Instagram five weeks ago, in a sun-drenched selfie of the couple.

Tyga was notably absent during Jenner’s recent Legoland trip with sister Kendall and friends.

In late April, Jenner accompanied Tyga as he house-hunted in Westlake, California though sources told PEOPLE the couple were not moving in together.

Jenner recently revealed on Snapchat that she is spending a few days at her mom’s house.

She also discussed how, despite appearances on social media, she keeps her guard up: “I never really like to show people my personality or all of me. ‘Cause, I don’t know, Kylie Jenner is who you see on Instagram, but I am not Kylie Jenner. I don’t know who Kylie Jenner is.”

“And the reason why I don’t really talk on Snapchat much or show my personality a lot is because when I do, you get vulnerable and people make fun of you,” Jenner continued. “And sometimes I’m just not down, you know? I just don’t want to be talked s— about today. It’s that simple.”

Jenner went on to explain who the real Kylie Jenner is.

“The real Kylie Jenner is sensitive, weird, and I don’t know, I love really hard,” she said.
