Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome is a prequel to the 2004 reimagined "Battlestar Galactica" series. It is the latest addition to the franchise and originally started as a web series. The pilot was intended to be the start of a series that would follow the early adventures of a young William Adama, but it was never picked up. "Blood & Chrome" was distributed as a 10-episode online series in partnership with Machinima.com on November 9, 2012. It was also aired as a television film on February 10, 2013, on Syfy.

Synopsis[]

The story features young Ensign William Adama who joins the Colonial Fleet during the 1st Cylon War. To his disappointment, he was assigned to a Raptor instead of a Viper. His co-pilot, Lieutenant Coker Fasjovik, is not pleased to have a rookie flying with him as he has only a short time before his conscription ends, and he can return to civilian life. The Raptor's cargo is a civilian scientist Dr. Becca Kelly. As soon as they leave, Dr. Kelly provides them with new orders and a new destination. Adama is eager to know more, especially since it involves going into Cylon-controlled space. But things are not as they seem, as Dr. Kelly is not forthcoming about her secret mission.[1]
