Maruti Suzuki Future Plans Revealed » MotorOctane

Maruti Suzuki recently launched the next-generation model of its most popular hatchback, the Swift, in India. The new model prioritizes the safety of its occupants by offering 6 airbags and ESP as standard. During the launch event, Maruti future plans and upcoming product launches for 2025/2026.

Maruti Future Plans: Bullish about Small Car Revival

Upcoming electric cars from Maruti

In recent years, Maruti Suzuki has lost a significant portion of its market share to competitors such as Mahindra, Tata Motors, and Hyundai. Small cars, which were once the best-selling products in the market, have now been overshadowed by the increasing popularity of SUVs. Furthermore, customer preference for safer and feature-rich SUVs has affected sales.

Despite this decline in sales, Maruti is positive about the small car market and expects a revival soon. The company has planned multiple products in this segment to be launched between 2024 & 2026. These include:

Next-Gen Maruti Swift

Maruti Swift

The first product in question is the Swift, which was recently launched in India. The new Swift is priced between Rs 7.67 lakh and Rs 11.32 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
