FULL-TIME: METZ 0-2 PSG
90' +3
Going until the end... Asensio has created five chances. This is the first time he has created at least five chances in a Ligue 1 match since facing Clermont on 6th April 2024 (again, five chances created).
90' +2
Ugarte has a go from range. It flies hard and true... wide right of the target.
90' +1
There will be four minutes of added time here.
90'
Diallo heads over! Great work from Atta sees an outside-of-the-right-boot pass finds Diallo yet he can't keep his effort down! Talk about an instant impact if that'd gone in!
89'
A. Atta enters the game and replaces D. Jean Jacques.
The booked Jacques' game is done. Arthur Atta takes his place for the remainder of this one as the Metz fans stream out of the ground. They will be seeing their team play a relegation play-off.
88'
PSG keep looking for more. However, Mukiele goes in a little too hard and fouls Udol from behind as Metz look to restart.
86'
M. Udol gets yellow.
Metz' captain Udol halts a Kolo Muani-fuelled counter-attack and goes into the bool. This came after PSG ran away following Camara's powerful blocked strike from the edge of the box.
83'
Metz look to break away with Diallo. Mikautadze is then found in advanced position before going backwards. In the next phase, Ugarte fouls Sabaly and the hosts have a dangerous free-kick situation. Mikautadze will strike it.
81'
With this result, it continues the fact that Metz have not recorded a single draw in their 11 Ligue 1 home games (W3 L8). This is the longest current run, having drawn three of their first five this season (L2).

79'
D. Jean Jacques gets yellow.
Jacques sees yellow after a late tackle on Mbappe. That one hurt. The magic spray is out.
78'
Y. Zague enters the game and replaces Nuno Mendes.
Mendes comes off for Yoram Zague. The 18-year-old has enjoyed some recent appearances, even scoring in his last match against Nice.
77'
Mukiele slides in at the back right post to tamely fluff one straight at Oukidja. Simple save in the end, that's now his fifth save of the day. It's also the first time he has made at least 5 saves in a match in Ligue 1 since facing Rennes on the 4th of May 2024 (6 saves).
74'
C. Sabaly enters the game and replaces K. Van Den Kerkhof.
Lee catches Herelle and the defender is down holding his ankle.
Van Den Kerkhof comes off for Tidiane Sabaly. He shakes his head at the manager's decision, but in fairness, he has been ineffective tonight. What can Sabaly offer?
72'
The corner swings in and Oukidja punches under pressure. There's been a foul in there and we go back for a free-kick from the keeper.
71'
M. Škriniar enters the game and replaces Beraldo.
If Metz lose here against PSG, they'll equal the longest losing streak for a club against the same opponent in L1 history, set by Nantes (14 v Paris between 2007 and 2018) and Angers (14 v Paris between 2016 and 2023).
Beraldo's evening comes to an end as the ball goes out for a PSG corner on the right. Milan Skriniar arrives in the Brazilian's place.
70'
We know there's still over 20 minutes remaining, yet this result could be a pleasant change for PSG's defence. The Parisians have conceded at least once in each of their last 10 matches in all competitions, doing so for the first time since February - April 2012 (12). Their last clean sheet in all competitions came in April against Rennes in the French Cup (1-0).
68'
Asensio tries to find Mendes, however the ball over is too hard and goes out for a goal-kick.
65'
We've hit a bit of a lull it seems. Soler blasts a speculative effort into row Z.
62'
R. Kolo Muani enters the game and replaces Gonçalo Ramos.
E. Mbappé enters the game and replaces S. Mayulu.
Ramos' wasteful day is over. Randal Kolo Muani comes on in his place.
Young Mayulu comes off for Ethan Mbappe's third appearance of the term.
60'
A stat on the hour? Why not. PSG have attempted 15 shots in this match, higher than their season average of 14.9 in Ligue 1.
58'
Ugarte tries an effort from just outside the box. He drags it left of the goal.
57'
Paris have an average possession rate of 65.4 percent in Ligue 1 this season, eight percent more than any other side (Lille – 57.2 percent), while Metz average 35.2 percent, almost nine percent fewer than any other side (Le Havre - 44.1 percent). PSG are also the side with the greatest passing accuracy in the top-flight this season (89.7 percent), Metz has the worst (75.9 percent).
55'
Metz respond to the pressure well and earn their own corner. It's played over and Navas to parry twice.
53'
Ugarte skews one wide off his right in-step. The chance arrived after solid build-up off the left wing. That was very much a defensive-minded player's shot.
52'
Soler tries to slide in Ramos, yet the ball is a little too long and Oukidja flies out to dive on the ball.
50'
PSG work it up the pitch and following a corner, cross into the box. Oukidja rises well to claim to calm things down.
46'
PSG get the second half started and instantly shift forward. More of the same, anyone?
An off-balance Asensio strikes at goal from the left. He's leaning left, and subsequently his effort strays that way past the target.
45' +4
HALF-TIME: METZ 0-2 PSG
45' +2
Van Den Kirkhof causes Beraldo trouble on the right. The Algerian winger goes down wanting a free-kick, yet the ref says no. That's unfortunate there, as it looked like a foul.
45'
The free-kick from the left is cleared out before Mikautadze flicks in Diallo. He fires wide left of the target.
Mukiele cuts in from the right after yet another surging run. He fires back on himself towards the bottom-right corner. Oukidja is wise to it and saves well.
There will be four minutes of added time.
44'
Nuno Mendes gets yellow.
Mendes goes into the book as Metz counter and he chops down Sane cynically.
41'
Metz break but can't find that final pass! Van Den Kerkhof wants the overlap ball and Jacques just plays it out for a Navas goal-kick. It's safe to say that the home crowd weren't fond of that.
40'
To no avail... After his latest effort, Ramos has attempted 3 shots in this game. That's more than any other player on either team.
31'
Van Den Kerkhof slides in on Asensio on the left wing. He looked to have handballed it, yet the Spaniard is ruled to have taken it off the field and it's back in Metz' possession.
30'
The visitors have a free-kick on the right side. It's about 30 yards out and Lee, Soler, and Asensio stand over it. Soler takes it but his curling ball isn't rewarded by a touch and Metz put it out for a throw on the right.
28'
PSG have a corner on the right after Ramos is blocked off. Lee takes an inswinger and it goes throw to Oukidja in the Metz goal. He fumbles it while taken by surprise before the defence react and clear.
26'
Asensio and Mendes work together with an excellent give and go and the Spaniard gets in behind before pulling back for Ramos. He's leaning back and balloons it over. What a waste.
25'
Credit to PSG's mercurial ability. They've scored their two goals with two shots on toarget.
23'
Lee is fouled on the left wing. He beats Diallo to the ball and then roulettes round Jacques before getting floored. As Metz press higher, Diallo gives away another foul after bringing Mukiele down from behind.
22'
With these two goals already in this game, PSG have now scored 42 first-half goals in 34 games. That's more than any other team in Ligue 1 this season.
20'
Asensio is played in down the left and he drives to the byline to pull it back, yet Sane puts it behind. The resulting corner comes to nothing.
19'
PSG have slowed the game's tempo right down here. It's like they're containing Metz' ability to counter with Diallo and Mikautadze, as well as trying to build on their own lead. The possession is sucking the life out of this game.
18'
Metz have completed 53 passes. This is dwarfed by PSG's 129.
16'
PSG have moved into dominant territory and have enjoyed a 70-30 split in the game's possession so far.
14'
PSG have scored 12 goals in the first 15 minutes of the first half, more than any other team in Ligue 1 this season. On the other hand, Metz have conceded 14 goals in the first 15 minutes of the first half, more than any other team in French top-flight.
12'
Lee Kang-In has scored a goal for PSG! Assist by Marco Asensio.
Asensio's excellent pass from the left goes down as his fifth assist of the season.
GOOOOAAAALL! 0-2 TO PSG! Lee has the ball in the net with a cool tap in finish, yet VAR disrupt celebrations as Asensio's low cross looked to find the South Korean in an offside position. It's given though, and now Lee has third Ligue 1 goal for the season and adds to his assist.
9'
PSG are spurred on by their goal just now and have had two corners from the left side since. Both have been dealt with by the hosts and counterattacks look like viable Metz options.
7'
Carlos Soler has scored a goal for PSG! Assist by Lee Kang-In.
GOOOAAALLL 0-1 PSG! Soler curls what looks like a cross into the box after receiving a short left-sided corner from Lee. It curls all the way in past Oukidja into the top-right corner! That's his second goal in Ligue 1 this season, scoring for the first time since 21st October 2023 against Strasbourg.
Lee pops up with a simple and somewhat lucky assist. That's his fourth assist of the term.
6'
The early patterns are settling in. Metz can hardly get a sniff of the ball as PSG just move it from left to right, trying to scour a way through the backline. Camara gets it back and tries to set Mikautadze on his way on the left. He shoots and has Navas diving, yet it's blocked well.
If he scores today, Mikautadze will have scored in seven consecutive Ligue 1 games, becoming the first Metz player to do so in the top-flight since Jules Bocande (eight) in 1985.
4'
Although there's again no Mbappe for PSG, it's interesting to note that Metz is where he made his Ligue 1 debut back in 2017 for the Paris club. The adbsentee has scored 175 goals with PSG in the league (no one else has reached 100 over this period), with only Roger Courtois (209 with Sochaux) and Fleury Di Nallo (182 with Lyon) netting more goals for one side in the history of the league. How will PSG fare without the dynamic forward?
2'
Early Metz possession is lost and PSG come forward with some comfortable passing in the centre of the park.

Metz kick us off and this final day clash begins!
Good evening everyone, and welcome to this live text commentary from the Ligue 1 final day. Tonight, it's Metz v PSG at the Stade Saint-Symphorien. PSG, of course, have already won their third Ligue 1 title in a row but manager Luis Enrique wants to make the most of the challenge his team will face as they end their campaign at Metz ahead of the French Cup final against Lyon on May 25. Metz, 16th, are in the relegation play-off spot and have lost their last three matches. That being said, they frustrated PSG during a goalless first half in the reverse fixture before a Kylian Mbappe brace got the hosts a 3-1 win in December.
METZ SUBS: Guillaume Dietsch, Fali Cande, Ismael Traore, Koffi Kouao, Arthur Atta, Joseph Nduquidi, Cheikh Sabaly, Ibou Sane, Malick Mbaye.
METZ (4-3-3): Alexandre Oukidja; Matthieu Udol, Christophe Herelle, Sadibou Sane, Maxime Colin; Lamine Camara, Kevin N’Doram, Danley Jean Jacques; Pape Diallo, Georges Mikautadze, Kevin Van Den Kerkhof.
PSG (4-3-3): Keylor Navas; Nuno Mendes, Beraldo, Danilo Pereira, Nordi Mukiele; Senny Mayulu, Manuel Ugarte, Carlos Soler; Marco Asensio, Goncalo Ramos, Lee Kang-In.
PSG have got the better of Metz of late, being unbeaten in their last 14 Ligue 1 matches (W13 D1 L0). Today's hosts are looking for their first league win in this fixture since May 2006. In that time, PSG have outscored les Grenats 41-9 during their unbeaten streak.
At risk of repitition, the permutations... PSG earned a 2-1 victory over Nice at Allianz Riviera in their last league match, leaving them nine points clear of Monaco at the top of the table. Metz sit in 16th place on 29 points, three points from safety. Metz were defeated 2-1 in their last Ligue 1 match at Stade de la Meinau against Strasbourg, their third consecutive loss. The previous Ligue 1 fixture between the teams saw PSG emerge victorious 3-1 at Parc des Princes in December. Kylian Mbappe led PSG with two goals, scoring in the 60th and 83rd minute. Vitinha also was on target. Matthieu Udol scored the lone goal for les Grenats in the 72nd minute.
Today's officials are led by referee Gael Angoula. Running the lines are Nicolas Rodrigues and Thomas Luczynski, while the fourth official is Azzedine Souifi. In the VAR hotseat today is Dominique Julien and his assistant Stephane Brie. The on-field officials have led the players out on to the turf and the toss has decided that Metz will get us underway here.
Although Metz have looked promising on the counter at times, their xG is a lowly 0.18. PSG are outperforming their xG of 1.16, yet realistically look capable of scoring with most attacks. Wing play has been a strong point of focus for Enrique's side and the wing-backs have been particularly noticeable this evening. Metz will no doubt be asking more of Mikautadze. Their Georgian talisman has been limited to scraps up top and had to create most of his space and opportunities himself. Metz have a record of W1, D1, L9 when trailing at half-time Ligue 1 this season. PSG on the other hand, have a record of W17, D1, L0 when leading at the break. In a wider picture, Metz have their work cut out as the Parisians are unbeaten in their last 67 leaguer matches when leading at half-time (W64, D3). This dates back to the 14th of March 2021 against Nantes (L1-2). What can we expect of the second half? More crosses from PSG, with wing-back involvement. There'll also be more possession - as the visitors have enjoyed the majority of a 22-78 percent split.
