Aubin
Aubin is a Housecarl Class, one of the early Characters in Unicorn Overlord that will join Alain's team, and one of the many boss enemies you can recruit by defeating them.
"The mercenary leader of a band called the Sand Scorpions, who were hired by Renault to cross blades with Alain as he pursued the kidnapped Scarlett. He held fast to his base at Fort Soligie, but was eventually defeated. He remained in the fort after his defeat in battle to buy time for his companions to escape. Once cornered, he took a liking to Alain and his lofty aims, and thus decided to join the Liberation's ranks."
How to Recruit Aubin
Aubin can be recruited by Alain during the second Main Quest, Call to Action. After defeating him at the end of the Main Quest, Alain can decide to spare Aubin's life instead of executing him, and offer him a place in the Liberation Army by paying for his services.

Tips and Tactics for Using Housecarls
Housecarls are a class focused on shredding armor. Similar to Warriors, they're good against armor, but not in the same way. Housecarls are rather a more generic answer to armored class by just reducing armor rather than ignoring it altogether.
Smash, Rolling Axe, and Frenzied Strike all do the same thing, which is reduce armor. Housecarls are also one of the earliest classes to gain the ability to attack entire rows, meaning they can be useful in the early game for sweeping up units and stay useful into the late game with their more dedicated skills. Their kit is very basic, but once they promote is where they really shine.
After promotion, they gain the ability War Horn, which might be the most powerful skill in the game. Once used, it makes all of your allies attacks unguardable. This is extremely potent as it doesn't inflict Guard Seal, which some enemies could be immune to, but rather just ignores the enemy guard altogether. This makes armored units and pretty much anything with a shield much weaker in comparison. They also gain Wide Breaker, which is an improved version of Rolling Axe, which lets them do extra damage to enemies that are already debuffed.
Their Valor Skill, Vitalize, is a great way to keep your allies stamina topped up as it becomes more and more crucial during long fights. It may not find itself useful in all situations, as it has a small range, but it's still pretty nice to have around in clutch moments.
Housecarls want to be in units where physical damage is key. Since they reduce physical defense only and make attacks unguardable, avoid fitting them in with units that have a high magic damage focus. In particular, they're great at making classes especially weak to guard, such as Swordfighters, much better. But, they can fit into practically any unit where physical damage is it's strong point. Even though they gain a shield after promotion, they're still not fit for taking many attacks, so keep them safe if possible.
