Pre-1975 Fleetwood Mac Classic Tracks Bundled For Best Of 1969-1974

Many revere the post-1974 version of Fleetwood Mac that employed the guitar and composition skills of Lindsey Buckingham, and the vocal uniqueness of Stevie Nicks. The 1975 album that emanated from that revitalized lineup created a strong buzz for a band that had already existed for 8 years and had already released eight studio albums. Those earlier years featured the talents of Peter Green, Danny Kirwan, Bob Welch, Jeremy Spencer, and, of course, Christine (Perfect) McVie, among a few others. But those years before the Fleetwood Mac ‘White Album’ in 1975 yielded some classic music that many FM fans of the Buckingham/Nicks years typically are unaware of.

On July 26, Rhino Entertainment will gather some excellent tracks from those earlier Fleetwood Mac years that apply to their sets with Reprise Records from around 1969 and the release of Then Play On, and stretching though 1974 with Kiln House (1970), Future Games (1971), Bare Trees (1972), Penguin (1973), Mystery To Me (1973), and Heroes Are Hard To Find (1974). The collection will be called Best Of 1969-1974, and will contain 19 tracks. Of those songs, you can expect to see “Sunny Side Of Heaven”, “Bare Trees”, “Sentimental Lady”, “Emerald Eyes”, “Rattlesnake Shake”, “Heroes Are Hard To Find”, and “Angel”, songs that help set the stage for their explosive run after 1974.

Best Of 1969-1974 will be released on CD, DD, and vinyl LP.
