Season 1 of the American mystery-comedy television series Only Murders in the Building premiered exclusively via Hulu's streaming service on August 31, 2021, and concluded on October 19, 2021, with a total of 10 episodes. The series was created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman. In September 2021, the show was renewed by Hulu for a second season.

The first season stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Aaron Dominguez, and Amy Ryan, with Julian Cihi, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Nathan Lane, Jayne Houdyshell, Olivia Reis, and Tina Fey in recurring roles. Production

Principal photography began in New York City on December 3rd, 2020.[1] Shooting lasted four months and concluded on April 15th, 2021.[2] The series had four directors, who directed blocks of two episodes. Jamie Babbit directed both the first two and last two episodes of the series.
