FAQs

Is Norton free?

Norton offers customers a 30-day free trial to test out the service before they're committed to their chosen spending plan. If you're a new sign-up, you can make the most of these first 30 days free, and if you're happy about the service, it'll just roll over onto your chosen plan once the 30 days are up.

What kind of plans does Norton offer?

Norton offers a few different plans to customers. AntiVirus Plus is the brand's virus, malware and hacking protection for one device, which includes a password manager; 360 Standard pairs this with Norton's own VPN to help your browse privately online; 360 Deluxe adds more on by upgrading your cloud backup from 10GB to 50GB, your device allowance to 5 devices, and adds on parental control and dark web monitoring; and 360 Advanced adds more on again, upgrading device allowance to 10 devices, your cloud storage to 200GB, and additional features such as social media monitoring, identity services, and credit reports, scoring & alerts.

How much does Norton cost?

Norton plans start from £19.99 per year for your first year depending on which plan you choose. The more advanced plans, which include more features, are generally more expensive, with prices climbing to as much as £149.99 per year. Note that prices tend to rise after your first year, so keep an eye out for how much you'll be due to pay once you've used your first year introductory rate.

What is the Norton return policy?

If you decide you're unhappy with your Norton plan after you've purchased it, you have 60 days for annual plans, or 14 days for monthly plans, to request a refund under the brand's money-back guarantee. So long as you do so before the 14 or 60 days are up, you'll be eligible for a full refund of the price you paid.

How do I contact Norton?

Norton has a dedicated support website that customers can use to get support online. You'll need to choose from a number of prompts to tell them your issue, and then be directed to relevant support services, including online articles and live chat features.

Hint and Tips

All-in-one plans: Norton offers a wide range of services, and a number of their plans bundle these together. If you're interested in multiple services, it is usually more cost-effective to choose a bundle that includes both rather than paying for them separately. The more advanced your plan is and the more different services it includes, the more you'll save versus paying for each service separately.

First-time sign-up discounts: When you sign up for a new plan, Norton tends to offer an introductory rate, such as up to 60% off your first year. For example, Norton 360 Standard is priced at £64.99 per year, but the first year of a new plan only costs £24.99. Keep an eye out for better first-year prices to save money on new subscriptions.

Longer plans: Norton also tends to offer bigger discounts on longer plans, making it better value for money when you sign up for longer. New sign-ups can usually get 2 years for the price of one (or just over this total). Sometimes offers are even more generous - for example. Norton 360 Advanced is usually billed at £149.99 per year, but you can purchase a 2-year plan for just £75.99.

Make the most of a free trial: Customers can make the most of a 30-day free trial with their plans, which allows them to use the full features of the service to test them out before they're charged their first bill. If during your free trial, you decide its not for you, you can cancel before the 30 days are up to avoid being charged.

Try Norton Genie: Norton Genie is the brand's AI-powered scam detector app, and its free to download through the Google Play and Apple App stores. There is also an online version you can use through your web browser. If you want to get the most out of the services Norton is offering, give it a try for a cost-free complement to your chosen plan.
