Acapulco season 3 brings the hit bilingual Apple TV+ comedy back for more, and Screen Rant has a clip from the show’s fourth episode. The series was created by Austin Winsberg, Eduardo Cisneros, and Jason Shuman, inspired by the 2017 movie How to Be a Latin Lover. The two-timeline series is centered around Maximo Gallardo Ramos, played by Eugenio Derbez in the present day and Enrique Arrizon in the past (1984), as Maximo lives out his rags-to-riches story.

Screen Rant is happy to debut a clip from Acapulco season 3 episode 4 in advance of the episode’s release on May 15. The clip features star Chord Overstreet as Chad, with Chad seemingly beginning a new job with more than a touch of naïveté. Chad often sets up some of Acapulco’s best quotes, and the clip features more than one at his expense. Of course, the music in the clip and Chad’s nonchalance hint that he could also be causing a diversion. Take a look and watch new episodes of Acapulco on Wednesdays on Apple TV+.

Where Chord Overstreet Has Been Since Glee

Chord Overstreet rose to fame in part thanks to his five-year stint on network television, where he played half of one of Glee’s best couples in Sam Evans. Acapulco has been Overstreet’s most sizable role since that show ended in 2015, but it is far from the only project on which he has embarked. His first released project after the end of the series was 4th Man Out, a comedy in which a young mechanic comes out to his three friends on his 24th birthday.

From there, Overstreet dabbled in voice acting, taking roles in Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! And Pickle and Peanut, the latter being a surreal animated comedy worth a Google simply for its unique aesthetic. Overstreet also took on sizable roles in films like The Swing of Things and 2022’s Falling for Christmas. It was in 2021, however, that Overstreet jumped onto Acapulco, which has provided the actor with the most steady and well-received outlet for his talents since Glee.

In Acapulco, Overstreet found an opportunity to utilize his comedic sensibilities as well as his talent for inviting audiences into his character’s emotional journey. As Chad Davies, General Manager of Las Colinas Resort, Overstreet has been able to interact with much of the show’s present-day cast, and has emotionally involved the audience in Chad’s relationship with Julia. As seen in the clip above, Chad can appear sweetly unaware, which offers consistent potential for effective comedy. Acapulco season 4 hasn’t yet been confirmed, but if it is, Overstreet, and Chad, will likely continue to thrive in its unique and funny world.
