NFL Names 'Easiest' Schedule Of The 2024 Season
We're still one day out from the NFL's full schedule release but we already have an idea of which teams could have the easiest and hardest paths in 2024.
On Tuesday, the league unveiled the strength of schedule for all 32 of its teams based on their opponent's win percentage from the previous year. And according to the data, the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints are tied for the weakest SoS this upcoming season at (.453).
It shouldn't come as too much of a surprise given how the NFC South has performed in recent years and the struggles both teams have had.
The Saints finished 9-8 in 2023, which was an improvement from 7-10, but still wasn't enough to earn a playoff appearance. That's a mark the Falcons are all too familiar with after finishing 7-10 in each of the past three seasons.
Atlanta's schedule should give Raheem Morris an opportunity to get some positive momentum going in Year 1 of his program.
This offseason has been a little loud for the organization though after drafting Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. eighth overall despite signing Kirk Cousins to a four-year, $180 million deal with $100 million guaranteed in March.
As for the hardest schedules, three of the top four teams are out of the AFC North (Cleveland, Baltimore, Pittsburgh) — with the Cincinnati Bengals somewhere in the middle (.502).
