New Delhi – In the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections was held in 9 states, Jammu and Kashmir and one Union Territory for 96 seats on 13th May. At the same time voting was held in the Assembly elections for 175 seats in Andhra Pradesh. YSRCP Congress MLA Annabathuni Shivakumar slapped a voter during the elections in Guntur in Andhra Pradesh. Reacting to this slap the voter also slapped Shivakumar. Thereafter some supporters of the MLA beat up the voter very badly. The reason for this incident was that the respective voter had stopped the MLA for not joining the line of voters. On the other side, people pelted stones at the security forces in Munger in Bihar for not giving the slip at the time of the elections. The Police took two young individuals in custody following a lathicharge.

Congress candidate Suresh Shetkar’s brother, Nagesh Shetkar from Zahreebad in Andhra Pradesh, kicked a voter due to some discord between the two. As the voter was lifting his scooter which had fallen, Shetkar kicked him

On the previous night of the elections in Bolpur in Bengal, a Trinamool Congress worker was murdered. Trinamool has accused CPI(M) supporters of blasting bombs. Also, there is a clash between BJP and Trinamool Congress supporters in Durgapur in the State. Also, in Birbhum, the BJP has accused supporters of Trinamool for vandalising stalls.
