Hollyoaks confirms outcome of John Paul and Kitty kidnap plot

Hollyoaks has confirmed the outcome of the storyline involving John Paul McQueen and Kitty Draper, which has seen the pair kidnapped.
Upcoming scenes will see Carter Shepherd return after his arrest, with his henchman Gareth kidnapping John Paul as part of his revenge plan.
This has coincided with Declan Hawthorne, the leader of the religious conversion therapy group, kidnapping his estranged daughter Kitty, with their fate being uncertain.

In follow-up scenes, John Paul will begin by pleading for his life, but a vengeful Carter has other ideas and pledges to baptise John Paul in the lake. Kitty, meanwhile, is locked in a room, with Declan regularly misgendering her as he intentionally demeans her.
Beau, Sally and Diane are all worried about her whereabouts, but the former recognises the location from a photo, and subsequently comes to her rescue as he unties her in the cabin by the lake.
She explains that Declan is behind the kidnapping, with Beau rushing to the car in a bid to get the injured Kitty to safety. Declan, however, gets there first and a scuffle ensues as Beau knocks him out.
Beau and Kitty then make a run for it, with Beau agreeing to keep Kitty’s secret regarding 'Ivy' and her arrival in the village. They subsequently meet with John Paul, with Kitty opening up about her experiences with conversion therapy.

Following the tense episode, will Carter and Declan make another attempt to spread their hateful views?...
This particular storyline isn’t the only dramatic arc to air on Hollyoaks in recent weeks, with both Lizzie Chen-Williams and Hunter McQueen tragically passing away after ingesting deadly pills.
Lily Best, who played Lizzie on the soap, recently spoke about her sad exit, saying: “So many big feelings for a little post but firstly, I want to say a big thank you to all the viewers who have been so kind and welcoming.
“The amount of love I’ve received not just about Lizzie's exit but throughout my whole time at Hollyoaks has been so incredible, it's kind of scary to be on that screen sometimes and you guys took a bit of that fear away so thank you. I’m just so glad people loved her as much as I did.”
Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
