NJ Weather

NJ Weather was established for those who find weather fascinating, in order to provide a forum to discuss weather related topics. Although many of the posts relate specifically to NJ weather (and northern NJ in particular), general posts relating to the science of meteorology are very much encouraged.

It is important to understand that most of the posts in this group do not come from meteorologists. Trained meteorologists not only have a better knowledge of the science than hobbyists do, but also have access to far better data to make their forecasts. Although we have fun sharing our opinions regarding what may happen weatherwise, and those opinions may (on occasion) be accurate, members are encouraged to rely on forecasts from trained meteorologists when making decisions that are weather dependent.
