Actor Uday Tikekar, who will be seen in the forthcoming TV show “Krishnadasi”, says he loves playing a baddie in TV serials as the character never dies unlike in films.

Uday, who has played a negative role in a string of small screen shows like “Meet”, “Manzilein Apani Apani”, “Love Story” and Marathi serial titled “Abbhaan”, feels that there is a lot of “variety” in the negative genre as well.

Asked why he only prefers playing a negative personality onscreen, he said:
“I feel there is a lot of play for an actor in that (negative) category. There is a lot of variety in negative roles…I think in my case people have loved me as a negative character”.

“If people love me for what I am doing onscreen then why not?” said the actor who played Ileana D’Cruz’s father in the 2012 released film “Barfi!”.

He will also be seen on the silver screen in upcoming movies like “Rocky Handsome,” directed by Nishikant Kamat, Shah Rukh Khan starrer “Raees” directed by Rahul Dholakia and Irrfan Khan starrer “Madaari” by Kamat again.
