LAHORE, Pakistan -A Pakistani researcher who had traveled to Portugal for a cancer research project was slain in a heist after resisting, Geo News reported on Friday.
The young victim, Anthony Shoukat, was from Lahore. According to Anthony's family, the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital sent him to Porto for a study project.
They stated that the deceased received his master's degree from Sweden and his PhD from Germany.
The family asked the authorities for assistance in locating Anthony's body and bringing the perpetrators to justice as quickly as possible.
The victim's close friends said Shouket spent many memorable moments with us.
"He was a brilliant, hard-working student with a sky's the limit opportunities in his future."
The administration of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital has asked the government to contact Portugal's authorities to investigate and share the details of this heinous crime that claimed an innocent life.
