I had to cancel four tickets from Stockholm to Oslo (due to incorrect date) and rebook right at the airport. Because I booked through Travelocity, the airline wouldn't credit me on the spot for the tickets I'd purchased, and told me to contact the travel agent for credit. But the Travelocity reps have given me the runaround with one supervisor asking me, "Why should we give you credit when you're the one who made the mistake?!" But I was told by a previous rep that when I cancelled the tickets, I would receive a credit that could be used for a future SAS flight. After several calls, they say they won't apply it to the flight I had to rebook at four times the cost! I've asked several times to speak to someone in the US because Travelocity's Philippine-based customer service doesn't seem to understand they're supposed to help people. Each time they say they're going to connect me, they put me on hold for an inordinate period of time (20-40 minutes) before they disconnect me. This has been going on for a few weeks now. Does anyone know who I can contact in the US to discuss how I can get my SAS credit applied to the replacement tickets? I can tell you one thing...I will NEVER EVER use Travelocity for tickets again.

What number are you using to call them? From the travelocity.com website, under "Support - Customer Support - Contact Us", a phone number of 1-855-863-9601 is listed. They also have a Callback button you can click. You enter your name, itinerary number, and phone number and they will call you back. They list the wait time.

Don't know if this will help but I guess it's worth a try.

Were you the one who typed in the wrong date when the tickets were booked online? Did you book non refundable tickets? If you (or whomever booked the tickets online) made the mistake and also booked non refundable tickets, why should you get a refund or credit?

"But I was told by a previous rep that when I cancelled the tickets, I would receive a credit that could be used for a future SAS flight." Did a Travelocity rep or SAS rep tell you this?

Deborah, by using a third party you are now bound by two sets of T&C's, those of the airline itself and those of Travelocity. The airline T&C's of the ticket you bought might allow for a credit against a future flight, but Travelocity's may not.

Thanks for your response. Yes, I've called that number several times and each person gives me a different answer. It's a call center in the Philippines and not Travelocity itself. They have a contract and are a third-party provider with Travelocity.

SAS is sympathetic but says that because I booked through Travelocity, they're the ones who need to issue the credit.

Do Travelocity's terms and conditions allow for them to issue a credit?

It was Travelocity who told me I'd receive a credit. When I sign onto Travelocity, there's no way to confirm that the credit even exists on my account info or trip itineraries. When I phone and ask for info about how to use it or -- preferably -- apply it to the tickets I bought to replace the incorrect ones, I get a runaround. I have no idea how the wrong date got onto the ticket. It was part of a much larger itinerary booked through Travelocity (both online and by telephone) and it was for a date upon which I had Travelocity tickets to another location. So I had two airline tickets for the same date! Didn't realize this, of course, until all four of us got to the airport. We immediately booked the same airline for the flight that day...at four times the cost due to the late booking.

Yes, they were non-refundable. But in the case of cancellation, the ticket value could be applied to future flights. So, I cancelled the tickets with the incorrect date and tried to apply the original ticket amount to the replacement tickets. That's where I ran into trouble. Travelocity told me that I have to book yet ANOTHER set of flights on SAS. I'm beginning to think it's a lot cause. I have four SAS credits with Travelocity that I will likely never be able to use even though I rebooked the flights with the airline.

Did you rebook your tickets with Travelocity or did you do it direct with airline or some other fashion? If not rebooked via Travelocity, they will do nothing for you.
