• The record for the highest IPL total goes to the Sunrisers Hyderabad for a massive 287/3 runs in a single innings.
• SRH also have the third-highest total at 277/3 which they scored against RCB.
• KKR now have the third-highest total at 272/7 - KKR vs DC, Vizag.
• The match saw the fastest fifty in IPL for Hyderabad being broken twice, first by Travis Head who scored his 50 in 18 balls and then inside the first 10 overs only, it was broken by Abhishek Sharma, who scored his 50 in just 16 balls. 
• RCB's 263 is now second on list.
• The third-highest team score now belongs to Lucknow Super Giants. In a match against Punjab Kings in 2023, LSG scored 257 runs with the loss of 5 wickets. 

Highest Teams Scores in IPL Finals: Gujarat Titans (214/4) 2024

Gujarat Titans recorded the highest run total in the history of IPL finals in 2023.

Batting first, GT registered 214/4 on the scoreboard. A target of over 200 has never been chased in IPL history.

TOP 5 Biggest Scoreboards Ever in IPL

1. Sunrisers Hyderabad(287/3)

On April 15, 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad achieved a remarkable feat by surpassing their own record for the highest IPL total, amassing a sensational 287 for three against Royal Challengers Bangalore. This remarkable total not only stands as a testament to their batting prowess but also ranks as the second-highest in the history of T20 cricket worldwide. Only Nepal's extraordinary score of 314/3 against Mongolia in 2023 surpasses SRH's monumental achievement.

2. Sunrisers Hyderabad (277/3)

SRH's batsmen on 27 March 2024 broke one of the longest-held records held by RCB by scoring 277 for the loss of just 3 wickets.  SRH's batsmen Heinrich Klaasen, Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head,  and Aiden Markram rewrote IPL history by surpassing RCB's longstanding record for the highest total in the league's history. RCB held this record for over a decade until Klaasen's explosive performance in the final over of the innings secured the record for SRH. Klaasen, Abhishek and Travis scored fifties with their strike rate exceeding 200.

3. Kolkata Knight Riders (272/7)

Kolkata Knight Riders made a formidable charge, nearly matching Sunrisers Hyderabad's record, as they posted a scorching 272 for seven against Delhi Capitals in Visakhapatnam. Among other notable performances, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants stand as the only other teams in the IPL to have achieved the milestone of recording 250-plus totals.

4. Sunrisers Hyderabad (266/7)

SRH's batting unleashed a relentless onslaught, with Travis Head once again spearheading the charge from the top of the order. A formidable total of 266 runs was amassed within the allotted 20 overs. The team reached the half-century mark in the 3rd over, with Head achieving his fifty in a mere 16 balls. Surging forward, the century milestone was reached in just 5 overs, leaving them at a formidable 125 for 0 as the powerplay concluded. Despite Delhi Capitals initially staging a brief resurgence, reducing Sunrisers from 131 for 0 to 151 for 4, Shahbaz seized control of the situation. Guiding his youthful and inexperienced partner, Nitish Kumar, Shahbaz orchestrated a stunning finish. His blistering 29-ball 59* propelled his team to an imposing total, sealing their dominance.

5. Royal Challengers Bangalore (263/5)

On April 23, 2013,  the beloved IPl franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore scored a gargantuan run total of 263 at the loss of just 5 wickets. RCB’s star player Chris Gayle alone contributed 175 runs and remained not out. That is considered a respectable team score in IPL. A few more balls and Gayle would have smashed a double century in T20 cricket. Other RCB players like Tillakaratne Dilshan, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers played second fiddle as Gayle etched his name forever in the history books. Pune Warriors India was restricted to 133/9.

5. Lucknow Super Giants (257/5)

Lucknow Super Giants nearly overtook RCB’s near-unbeatable record when they scored 257 runs in 20 overs, losing only 5 wickets. LSG batted first against Punjab Kings, and every player of the team entered the pitch and began hitting boundaries. Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran were the MVPs, scoring 72 off 40 and 45 off 19, respectively. PBKS also batted well and would have won on any other day but fell short by 56 runs even after scoring 201 runs.
