      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

While the cast and the fantastical tone are decent, Eastwick is too busy sampling different genres to decide what kind of show it wants to be.

Michelle Dean Bitch Media In ABC's hands, Updike's horrifically inaccurate vision of the internal lives of women becomes even less apt than usual. Dec 23, 2020 Full Review Ed Bark Uncle Barky Eastwick, which decidedly lacks the charm of Charmed, doesn't seem worth all the hubble bubble toil and trouble. Which is a shame, because the fantasy elements are all there on paper. But the execution is paper-thin, potty-mouthed and altogether puerile. Rated: D+ Oct 17, 2019 Full Review John Doyle Globe and Mail The show looks like a low-rent knock-off of the movie and takes ages to settle into an uneasy, ho-hum blend of comedy and drama. It utterly lacks charm. Oct 17, 2019 Full Review Boston Herald Staff Boston Herald There's not a lot of magic in ABC's Eastwick. Oct 17, 2019 Full Review Scott D. Pierce Deseret News (Salt Lake City) The first hour isn't bad, although the stars aren't exactly Cher, Susan Sarandon and Michelle Pfeiffer. And Gross is miscast as the male lead - Jack Nicholson, he's not. But it seems like pleasant enough fluff. Oct 17, 2019 Full Review Alan Pergament Buffalo News There isn't much magical about the pilot. Rated: 2/4 Oct 17, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews
