MySims is a videogame in the MySims series, initially released in September 2007.

The game quickly drew attention for its unique and distinct character designs, which seemed loosely based on Miis but were clearly not proper Mii Maker Miis, nor did they seem like Animal Crossing human characters.

Core functions like Create a Sim are present, while introducing a few new functions that would be introduced to the main series in The Sims 3 two years later (Town square, city hall, semi-open world where the insides of some lots are still loaded separately).

The basic plot bears partial resemblance to the Animal Crossing series (New human arrives by train, gets appointed with wide powers to fix a town that was in poor condition), but is far from a 1:1 match.

Build Mode is significantly simplified, at least in story mode. Instead of walls, the player is now assigned a limited set of blocks that will become hollow and make up in the inside of the house when completed. Fences can still be placed one square at a time.

A major part of the game's lore is Essence, a somewhat mystical kind of levitation magic only possible to use by a few chosen ones, allowing them to construct new houses with extreme ease.

Objects and features[]

Console features[]

Wii[]

The Wii version supports Dolby Pro Logic II, a stereo→5.1 upscaling codec. Since the amount of PC games with Pro Logic II support can be counted on two hands, this makes the Wii version most likely the only version of the game to support any form of surround sound.

Windows[]

The Windows version adds support for HD resolutions, widescreen, and uncapped framerate.
