Bill's Bio

Bill’s career spans the infancy to maturity of broadcast television 1951-1977). 
In Hollywood at ABC-TV, he progressed from film editor, producer, to executive producer, during a twenty-seven year tenure.  He became the Film Director while at KABC-TV, managing a dept of twenty-three employees and developed new programming for that Los Angeles station.  This resulted in a highly successful, 100 episode, variety series. 
During 1977 he went to the Osmond Television Studio in Utah to become associate producer on the “Donny and Marie Show”. While in Utah, he taught “The History of Television & Production” to Brigham Young University students.

Returning to Studio City California, he established and operated a post production video editing studio from 1980 to 1999.

With the success of his best selling book A Friend of Bills. he became the recipient of the prestigious Barnes & Noble “Writers Harvest Days” award.  His book has been accepted by the Library of the National Clearing-house for Alcohol and Drug Information (NCADI).                    

In July of 2000 he assumed the newly created duties of Program Coordinator at the ABC  Recovery Center located in California.  He organized and directed the very successful Aftercare program starting with a group of twelve members which has increased to six facilitators and more than eighty residents from surrounding community and primary care attending. One year later, he co- authored the guidelines for the new Family Program and facilitates this group of more than twenty parents and significant others each Wednesday. Once a month Bill obtains a speaker to present to the Family Group along with a sit down-barbecue-social hour for residents and family to attend.
He is presently developing a Children’s Enrichment program for children from seven to twelve who are at high risk to addiction due to their genetic connection to addictive parents.
 The Resource Center for Non Profit Management sponsored a Grant Writing seminar in 2001 and Bill was awarded a certificate of first place for his grant writing ability.
