Leo Mansell will emulate his famous father by racing a Ferrari this season.

Mansell, 24, will drive a Ferrari F430 GT in the Le Mans Series in Europe for Britian-based Team Modena, 20 years after father Nigel started his two-year stint with the Ferrari Formula One team. Nigel Mansell will assist the team and his son, who raced in the U.S.-based Atlantic Championship last year.

"It is wonderful to have Leo and Nigel on board," said Team Modena boss Rik Bryan. "The Mansells are a talented motorsport family, and I think Leo will be suited to racing sports cars, and it's fantastic to reunite the Mansell name with Ferrari."

Greg Mansell will share the Modena Ferrari with team regular Antonio Garcia in the Le Mans Series. He will also take part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans with unspecified teammates.
