Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe
Profile: | Essentially a permutation of Yes, Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe was the reformation of a classic Yes lineup (Jon Anderson: Vocals, Bill Bruford: Drums, Rick Wakeman: Keyboards and Steve Howe: Guitar) albeit minus Chris Squire (replaced here by Tony Levin). The band recorded one self-titled album in 1989, then went on tour playing what it called "An Evening of Yes Music Plus" a name they also used for their subsequent live album, which brought about a lawsuit by the remaining members of Yes. However the bands soon resolved their differences and produced an album entitled "Union" (1991) under a reunited Yes (featuring both classic and "90125" lineups) which effectively spelled the dissolution of Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe as a separate entity. |
