i love going to the university of northwestern Ohio after transferring from Michigan state university. they are so welcoming and i love how the classes are smaller and they don't take away the time you need with the teacher.
I enjoy the hands on classes, they really help students get involved and learn to do what they are studying. I believe some improvements could be made in the housing area making it better for everyone who lives in housing. The professors are really understanding and help students grasp onto anything they do not understand. It is a fairly well college and the environment is typically positive.
For what it's worth, I've been enjoying being here. The area sucks, the dorms suck, some of the teachers suck, but the school overall has been amazing and I've been enjoying my time here.
The worst college I went to they treat you like a kindergartener. You will meat some the most stupid people ever on campus because they have a 100% exceptence rate
If you are going for automotive in any form it's the Harvard of technology!!! It would be nice to have a few more options from staying out of the cold but the grounds are well taken care, the food is good and classes are taylored for sucess in your area of study. If you are a hands on kind of person you will get them dirty and learn more that you thought you might while making friends and getting in touch with other professionals in your field. Recruitment for job placement and just the fact that the school helps with employment for life is a game changer in so many ways. Bookstore prices are on average with any other school bookstore, the common areas have snacks that are priced for students and there Lima are has plenty to do. There are many clubs you can join, some are full time and can get you noticed for employment. Admissions to professors are all kind, caring, helpful and very knowledgable regarding the school, admissions, financial aid and grants. Great school to go see.
I have had an awesome experience at the University of Northwestern Ohio, I love the small campus feel. Faculty and Staff are always very professional and welcoming for new ideas and ways to make the University better. I have played basketball for the university for 2 years and it has been such an awesome experience.
Unoh was horrible. Only had one teacher that I genuinely liked. They will bs you with your money the WHOLE time you are there. They will randomly withdrawal you from classes and say you never paid, which is also bs. Good luck gettin in contact with anyone in administration, because it’s not gonna happen. They promise a lot and you receive NONE! Save your children parents, WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.
Small class sizes and small campus, the Motorsports program is 2nd to none and they have an indoor work out facility that is free for all students. They have top notch sports facility's and great learning experience.
UNOH is a small college located in a medium-sized town called Lima, Ohio. UNOH is mostly a Tech/Business/
University of Northwestern Ohio is a well respected college. It is fast paced and mainly hands-on. The professors are well educated and the campus feels very safe.
UNOH is a fantastic university with so much flexibility and support! Definitely would recommend it to anybody interested in one of the majors that they provide. Wonderful staff and awesome campus, the best of the best!
I am a freshman at the University of Northwestern Ohio and I am a member of the reserve soccer team. I like the size of the school, it’s not too big, it enables me to know more people on campus and different students in my classes on a personal level. My professors are very active in the lives of students and care greatly about their academic success. Safety services are always active in order to keep all of the students safe and also help keep the campus a clean place to live.
UNOH is a pretty decent school in a smaller city. Most of the the teacher are very good at assisting students that need help and the online portion of canvas is very well organized
I love being a student here, there are so many different clubs and opportunities students can get involved with plus the teachers are very helpful
I in no way intent on deterring anyone from enrolling here, this is just my experience as a tech student.
If you intend on moving into the dorms… don't. Most are filthy. Our hot water heater leaked, a crack on the wall let rain water in, blinds are often broken, holes in the wall etc. Along with these issues the school WILL try to fine you for any damages you didn’t extensively describe to them, whether or not you created them ($740 in my case caused by a previous student). And don’t get me started on the parking situation if you’re in RV by the baseball field.
There are good instructors, but some seem “too good to care”. They treat the students (who mind you are here to learn) like inconveniences and stupid for not understanding concepts and asking questions after they showed a brief slideshow and barely spoke on said subject. Many vocalize their distaste of students and their job
Food, housing, campus life and overall area is bland and uneventful. :(

I just transferred here for athletics and I really enjoy the campus, facilities and professors here at UNOH. It’s a smaller school than what I was at before but I really like it and they provide so many activities on campus for students.
Great, affordable and inclusive school. Their prices were lower than the others I looked at. I've had good experiences with most of the online professors.
Very good school and excellent programs 98% of the teachers there are great and very helpful. The school is located in a very rough town but the school is very nice.
UNOH is a fantastic automotive technology school, a lot of knowledge is available as long as you’re willing to learn.
So far UNOH has been a great experience. The instructors are very knowledgeable and have years of experience in the automotive, diesel, high performance, and agricultural industries. The class material is well covered in the classroom but the classes could be a couple of weeks longer to let the students fully grasp the concepts in the shop. With that being said most of the time spent in class is in the shop. the issue is that the classes themselves are mot long enough. Also students are not allowed to work on their vehicle on campus except for in class, so it is highly advised that you find off campus living. You will make life long friends at UNOH, I know I have.
