The space
Kiwi Chalet is perfect for couples or singles and popular for honeymooners.
The chalet is nestled just above our family home, on the hillside, overlooking the mountains and farm land.
Only 6 minutes drive to charming Historic Arrowtown, 15 minutes to airport and 20 minutes to Queenstown, it is so close to everything, yet feels so far away.
It is equipped with full kitchenette, living, dining, Queen bedroom and ensuite on ground floor and a cosy spot in the loft, for playing cards or reading on the beanbags, in the sunshine.
Queen bed is a natural latex mattress of medium/firm comfort with 100% cotton bedding. Plus an electric blanket to keep you nice and warm in the winter.
Kitchen has convection microwave oven, gas hob, range hood and mini fridge (no freezer).
Chalet contains a heat pump/air conditioning unit for warmth and cooling.
It has North facing floor to ceiling windows and sliders and offers the most epic views upstairs and down.

BIKING:
With direct access to the Queenstown cycle trail, you can enjoy a leisurely ride to Arrowtown for food/wine or try your luck at gold panning. If you're up for it, follow the trail to Queenstown or to the wineries of Gibston valley. Come home to relax and soak up the views of Coronet Peak's night skiing, or head up there!

Note: We can accommodate families with children over 5 years by request. (Access to mezzanine is via ladder not suitable/safe for children under 5yrs. Open storage, not suitable for children under 5 yrs)

Guest access
Kiwi Chalet is located in a rural area and we advise guests to have their own vehicle. There is no direct bus or public transport to the Kiwi Chalet. There is free unlimited parking onsite. In the winter months, we advise hiring a 4WD vehicle. It's also a good idea to carry chains if you're planning to head up the ski fields.
Threepwood is a lovely neighborhood for a walk and also connects to the Queenstown trail, an easy stroll to Lake Hayes or further afield.

Other things to note
Our family home is next to the chalet, ( 20 meters apart) so occasionally you may hear or see us. We do endeavor to give you as much privacy as possible during your stay.

We suggest you bring a few food supplies with you. We do supply cereal, milk and a few snacks. There is a range of large supermarkets on route from the airport and a small supermarket six minutes drive away in Arrowtown.

All linen is provided, tea, coffee, body wash/hand soap/salt/pepper/oil.

Please note, some areas of the property are still being landscaped and therefore you might see gardeners out and about on the property.
