"But then the distiller called and said, 'Hey guys, we have a little problem: In the past two years, we've been sending you about a thousand bottles a year. Either you're selling it or you're drinking way too much—either way, we can't keep calling it samples. You guys have to get licensed and do this right.'" Which is exactly what they did, making their tequila business official in 2013.

2017: Casamigos sells for $1 billion

According to a report by BBC, Casamigos sold to Diageo, a British company that owns other popular spirits like Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff and Tanqueray. Diageo said it would pay $700 million initially, with a further $300 million due over 10 years.

2022: The Gerber family attend Celine to support Kaia

They kept things simple, with Crawford wearing a short spaghetti-strapped dress she got off the rack. "I actually told a stylist friend of mine that I had to go to a black-and-white party, so to bring me some black dresses and some white dresses, because we didn't tell anyone we were getting married," Crawford revealed to Harper's Bazaar in July 2016. "That was just one of the white dresses and it was perfect. It was off-the-rack Galliano, and I love it."

They danced the night away to live music by the Baha Men (remember "Who Let the Dogs Out" from 2000?) and enjoyed a weekend honeymoon together at the Ocean Club before returning to their day-to-day lives.

Kaia has also worked alongside her mother on several campaigns, including OMEGA, a Swiss luxury watch brand. "I do feel like we've established a really strong bond and friendship outside of just a mother-daughter dynamic, which has been so fun for me over the last few years," Gerber told People in 2023.

While Kaia and Crawford have a mother-daughter relationship, Crawford explained, "But I think when we work together, it's really no different than if I was working with another professional. I feel like when I'm at work with you, it's not like, 'Oh, I am with my daughter. She's also Kaia and she has her own place in the world.'"
