The second edition of the FIFA World Cup finals to feature Canada kicks off with hosts Qatar facing a tough test against Ecuador on Sunday.

In common with Les Rouges, both sides involved in the opener will have designs on becoming surprise success stories of the tournament —  and with the Netherlands and Senegal also in their group, starting with three points could be particularly important for these teams.

Canada would not be able to meet either team until the semifinals stage of the competition.

Here's everything you need to know to watch the match in Canada on TV or online via live stream.
