Mama Carolla's is an Indianapolis staple! Mama's opened in 1997. We are nestled in an old Italian stucco home in the quiet Meridian Kessler neighborhood. Each room of the old house serves as a dining room. You may dine in one of the old bedrooms or in the old kitchen. Mama's has won many awards for both its food and its romantic ambiance. We have something for everyone in your party. We serve your traditional Italian entrees as well as many seafood and steak options.

I really believe that this may be the best restaurant in town. Sitting outside on the patio enjoying wonderful food and drinks, and exceptional service for a reasonable price, makes this place shine above the rest. The mussels are fabulous!

Great food and service as always. Angel hair pasta is light as air. The new Bomba dessert was awesome. I also took the ricotta cake home for a 2nd dessert, the cake is just the right amount of sweetness. Wish I could eat here weekly.

Chicken Piccata and spaghetti dish were very good. Shrimp scampi was just ok. White bean soup was delicious. Service was very good.

A beautiful outdoor garden setting, fantastic service from Andy, and exceptional food. Get the mussels and—even if you don’t like mussels—-dip that delicious bread into the nectar of the Gods mussel juice!

Great food, great service, friendly staff and the patio was awesome ambiance on a beautiful night. Except for the two groups of people seemingly competing to be the loudest and most obnoxious group there. Would have been nice for staff to politely ask them both to tone it down for the other guests.

First time at Mama Carolla's. Everything was excellent. The disappointment was that we were there celebrating our anniversary. When I made the reservation I noted under the "special occasion" tab that it was our anniversary and added a request for the best table available. We were taken off to a corner. Other restaurants have always offered us a complimentary dessert. No one offered us anything. Makes me wonder why I make the notes in the reservation if no one pays attention to it.

Beautiful night celebrating our 1 year anniversary of dating. Staff was excellent and the food was even better. It was truly a perfect evening.

The special was a little bland but still good. FYI, I was stunned by the iPark signs. I saw your sign at the entrance and I sent an email to the groomer that caused this. I spelled out how greedy and selfish I thought it was and that they should expect blow back because of it. I hope they come to their senses and work something out with you. I’ve been dining with you since you opened and will continue…thank you!

We have been going to Mama Carolla's for many years. We enjoy the reasonable prices and delicious Italian food. The tables for 4 are a little crowded for the bread and wine carafe - this is my only concern. Parking is easy. I would recommend a better access from 54th as the step up is a little steep and there is no rail. The calamari and the special sauce are delicious.

The place was very pleasant. The service was great and regardless of it being as busy as it was we got our food fast! You definitely want to make a reservation, it’s a very popular place and if you do not have one you will be waiting for a minute.
