My gaffney High School experience was wondering. Atmosphere and the support from the school and the community was unmatched. I absolutely loved Gaffney High School and the facility that worked there. The resources that Gaffney High School provides for their students is amazing, in my 4 years of attending i was able to take extra courses to achieve an associate degree if i wanted, i was able to take sat or the act for free, and i was able to attend college/dual enrollment classes as well. The only change i would like to see change is the test scores of the school increase.Although,
I know that it is not the teachers fault, it looks bad for the school.

I really hope Gaffney High gets more involved in the Arts and properly funds them. There are extremely talented kids involved in the arts program but because the school hardly funds them, hardly talks about them and doesn’t encourage involvement (as they spend majority of school money and time on the football team), kids get heavily discouraged and the teachers do not get the pay or respect they deserve.
There is also a huge issue with bullying. Whether it be students bullying other students or disrespecting and harassing teachers. It is awful. Do not even get started on the outrageous drug problem. Children are using and abusing substances in bathrooms and classrooms. It does not stop. It only gets worse.
I hope these issues get addressed and properly resolved. Until that time, these issues define the school and its reputation, showing the true colors of the faculty.

The worst experience at my school involves the focus on what’s important, for example I have been written up for wearing a hood when I came from outside. Yet there are students smoking in the classroom or the bathroom who are never punished. The school definitely plays favorites and allow certain people to get away with more than the rest, but I do believe the school and a strong community. Most people at gaffney high or friendly and respectful allowing it easy to build connections with different types of people. Your background does not matter at gaffney compared to your character and skills.
