Corrie's Brooke Vincent explains why she won't return soon

Brooke Vincent has addressed her possible return to Coronation Street, explaining that she won't be back anytime soon due to her commitment to her kids.

The Sophie Webster star last appeared on the cobbles back in 2019, though has since been prioritising her family after welcoming sons Mexx and Monroe in 2019 and 2021, respectively.

Appearing on Vicky Pattison's The Secret To podcast, Brooke explained: "The boys need me at the minute, and I haven't got the commitment in me to say to Corrie, 'Let me come back'.

"Corrie was very, very, and is very full-on when you're busy and it makes me laugh because I know everyone has kids, but I'm like, 'I've got kids so I can't come at that time. I've got kids'."

The star added: "I've worked from being 11, I've worked so hard on different things. I remember when I did Dancing on Ice and I would be getting up at 5am to go and do the radio, to then go straight to ice training, to then go straight to Corrie and back to dance lessons.

"There was a period in my life where I worked so, so hard, I thought, 'You know what? I'm going to take my time with the kids'. And don't get me wrong, it's not a walk in the park."

Last year, Brooke explained of a return: "I left to have my first little boy [Mexx] and then I always knew I wanted my children close together, so then I had my other little boy [Monroe] and I'm just being a mum at the minute.

"Anybody that's got children will tell you how hard it is to even put the washing in the washing machine. So yeah, I'm just being a mum and getting myself back and trying to get us into a routine and focusing on them.

"It's kind of a decision that we made as a family and it's just nice to have that special time with them without having major distractions of what's been going on."
