Overall, I have loved my experience at Tucker High School. Our student body is incredibly diverse, which is one of my favorite things about this school. We enjoy events like culture fairs and our annual Culture Fashion Show, among others. We also recently opened a new school building, which has been lovely.
However, the new building has left us with cramped space, as not all teachers have their own classroom. Additionally, there are times when there is no space in the commons for me to sit and eat. This is partly because standing in the lunch line takes over half of my lunch break, which is only 25 minutes.
Lastly, I am part of Tucker's Advanced College Academy, which allows students to earn their Associate's degree through dual enrollment credits. I am grateful that my school has this opportunity and it has been extremely rewarding.

Im from republic democratic of Congo, in 2021, I started my sophomore year at Tucker high school and it was my first high school here in America and it is probably the best high school in the county, now Im about to graduate from Tucker high school, my best experience was when I first enter Tucker high school, I received much more help from the teachers, they told me not be afraid or shy of speaking even though I didn’t know English, they kept me supporting me through my high school years until now. and there isn’t the worst part of being a Tucker student especially for immigrants and foreigners because you get to experience the whole new different type of cultures and living.
Thank you and wish the best for the newcomers students in the United States.

This School has been amazing, especially with the new school building. I think that the staff really care about students and overall are good people. There have been a few times where teachers go too far and admin doesn't do anything about it but other than that it's good. I've never felt unsafe, there is so much to do as far as clubs and activities. The school is super supportive of students' interests, I think this school year there were at least 10 new clubs formed.
Although my freshman year was virtual, I still managed to make up for it in three years. I have wonderful friends and met amazing and helpful teachers. However, I have noticed an increase in fighting this year, and I hope that there are more preventable measures for this.
J.R. Tucker High School, has been amazing for me personally. What this school offers is amazing, in terms of classes, sports, clubs, and more! I am amazed by how some of the teachers at the school understand, what your going through and how to help you! Personally I think this school is very secure, with metal detectors, and multiple cops and security guards around the campus! I think the only thing I would change is how the school is built with mainly glass, because that does cause a threat! Even with the small risks, is school has been such a wonderful home to me for these past two years, although I did skip tenth grade, I have loved ninth and eleventh so much so far! I am so happy to have started and eventually finishing at the same school with all the staff, teachers, friends, and family that I know and love!
It has been awesome to be apart of such a strong and diverse community for the past four years. There are many things that I've learned from being apart of this special group that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
So far, my experiences within Tucker High School have been majority positive. School fights aren't normal occurrences, the people are very sweet, and the teachers really strive to help students process information. Tucker is very diverse and exposes students to a variety of other cultures which is what I love most. Although language and vaping is a problem, it's not super severe and I'm overall very happy with my decision in choosing Tucker for highschool.
John Randolph Tucker High School is incredibly diverse and the school takes pride in it. There are many events and clubs to celebrate and recognize culture. Though, unfortunately, the education here vastly depends on who your teacher would be. Some classes barely teach the subject in a comprehensible way and some are brilliant at it. I would consider the teachers that I have had up to this point to be great for the most part, though there are a couple of bad eggs in the bunch.
Overall Tucker is a great school. It is one of the most diverse schools in the country and I definitely see that while on campus. I would say the best parts of my experience come from joining clubs and becoming an active participant in my school's extracurriculars. While I like being a part of my school's community, I would say the worst part of my experience would be having to take early bird band, because my academic classes took up too much room in my schedule. There is not much I would like to see changed at Tucker; I think the school is very nice.
I have enjoyed my time at Tucker. I am in the Spanish Immersion program. The teachers overall are good and care about your success. I feel prepared for college and look forward to the next chapter.
The best parts of my experience at JR Tucker are the people. This high school is the most diverse in the county and it is shown through clubs and events that show different cultures. This helps the students learn and experience new cultures. The teachers and administration are also mostly fantastic and I can safety say that they have prepared me for tests, college, and life. We have multiple academic programs, an excellent band and theatre program, and a Marine Corps JROTC.
The worst parts of the experience would have to be that some students are bent on destroying things in the school such as soap and paper towel dispensers.
I would like to see changes in discipline so that the delinquents do not trash the school. The administration has tried new behavior reinforcement programs this year, but it is still to early to see how it pans out.

I have really enjoyed my time at J.R. Tucker High School the past four years. Everyday is a new experience and I get to spend my time at a great facility with great resources at my disposal. Tucker has a lot of great academic classes and programs. I am in the IB program in the second year of the Diploma Program. My time in the program and at Tucker have been the highlight of my formative years.
My experience with J.R. Tucker High School was something, my first year at Tucker was when I was in my sophomore year. I was nervous to say the least, but the students and teachers were so nice and understanding. I can't really say I had that many worst experiences in Tucker, but I had some. But the worst thing I think mostly every new student have been through is not having no one to talk to, and it's even worse when you're shy. But the best thing out of my 3 years I've been here has been connecting with my peers and teachers. Another best part of my experience here is the clubs and programs you can do. In my junior year I took a Carpentry class in Highland Springs, it was so fun to learn something new. But my overall experience at John Randolph Tucker High School was great, and I assure whoever is going read this is that I'm going to miss it here.
I think overall the school itself is not bad seeing as it is a brand new building. However, the students and resources are the problem there is a lack of bathroom supplies as an example.
There are many clubs and activities to do in this school and so many opportunities that should never go to waste. The people are very helpful when you're new to something, so I always have someone to rely on. The new building is beautiful and there are many small things I found that I made use for. Lunch has gotten so much better, too, and I enjoy sitting in senior courtyard.
I love tucker it was filled with so much diversity. I got to learn about other’s cultures. I loved the teachers it’s was so nice to be able to go to the teachers for help and get the work done . Tucker is just a nice school
If I could write a book about this school I would. Firstly the staff members were amazing and so friendly any and everything we ever needed they made sure we had. Whenever there was an issue it always got resolved quickly and in a safe manner. This high school has opened me up to being on the Jrt Dancing Tigerettes as well as being the captain for the team my last year being in person there. I can say that this school has opened me up completely as I was someone who was shy. We have no many memories there and I wish I could go back in time and cherish those memories. The only bad part that I can remember about the school is how it was built unfortunately we had the outside version of the school so by being that I lived right next to the school I'd walk in rain. snow and tornado warnings would be hectic as well as waiting for all the buses to leave so it would be safer for me to walk. Everyone got along for the most part and as big as the school was everyone knew everyone.
