Folk tale meets modern tragedy, American Paradise culled a team of collaborators that would go on to become the nucleus behind LBMiSF. This wild four-day shoot would bring together Jona Tochet (production designer), Jimmie Fails (actor), Joe Talbot (writer-director/co-composer), Rob Richert (producer), Khaliah Neal (producer) and Luis Alfonso De la Parra (producer), all working together as a group for the first time. Two years later, they re-teamed to make their collective debut feature.
