- debbie cSouthampton, UK17 contributionsJust completed the 8 mile Box Hill Hike and my feet and knees are still in recovery! It's a gorgeous walk, but there are very steep climbs up (including uneven steps) and very steep climbs down into the valley. The whole walk is very well signposted and other walkers are very friendly and helpful at pointing you in the right direction. It was a challenging walk and definitely needed walking boots and sticks to remain steady on uneven surfaces. The cafe at the end was a treat after such a long walk... As was the Running Horses pub at around 2.5miles.Written February 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Win TaskBedford, UK1,123 contributionsWhat an amazing experience of this vineyard. Me and my partner booked it so we can have an experience at the end of our North Way walk. Nice location just opposite of Boxhil. Not far from Dorking train station. Big parking, hotel, restaurant facilities available.
Lovely train ride to show us around. Love the view of vineyard from the top. Love to keep walking around to enjoy. Wanna give it 5 stars but seriously didn't enjoy the wine.Written April 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The whole house will be open in 2024.
We were fortunate to visit it during the heritage festival as it is otherwise closed.Written September 10, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Went with a group of friends for the Gin Tasting and stayed on for drinks and fabulous pizzas in the Orangery. Staff were wonderfully friendly and welcoming and the gin, wine and food were all outstanding. Loved every moment…I spoke to Jasmine prior to arriving as we had a bit of a nightmare with our booking initially but she was amazing at sorting everything out for us and we had a fantastic time - we’ll be back!Written May 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Melanie S18 contributionsWhat a lovely, friendly and welcoming church. Many thanks to the charming people who greeted me, and Barbara who preached a thought provoking and inspiring sermon. Yes, I absolutely will be visiting again whenever I can.
This church is worth a visit for its history and architecture, but is also a wonderfully calm place to pray and think.Written August 13, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sarah CAshtead, UK1,261 contributionsThis was my go-to walk with friends during Covid but why stop now, when the scenery and the convenience (with gift shop and coffee hatch at the end) are so brilliant.
Each time we walk there are different vistas, depending on the weather and time of year, and the hills are steep enough to challenge, or there are gentler routes among the vines for an easier strollWritten June 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DavidffcLondon, UK208 contributionsBury Hill had changed and now there are three lakes. Milton lake is great for Crucians, Roach and Tench, Bonds lake is for carp galore up to 12 pounds or more if your lucky and Temple Lake is for die omen carp up to 40 pounds. They now require membership. The lakes are beautifully kept, the scenery is spectacular, the people friendly. I love it there.Written June 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
