I find many of Bowie's other collections to have less enjoyable selections than the songs that were picked here. While I've grown up with this CD, and it is therefore harder to separate the remix of "Fame" from its original, after hearing the original I think I would have preferred that to be on this CD, rather than the remix. I probably also would have swapped out "Diamond Dogs" for maybe "Life on Mars?". Other than that, this is my quintessential Bowie collection.

Many years ago, I owned a copy of the original Changesonebowie on vinyl. It was the seminal Bowie greatest hits compilation. Sadly, that recording has gone out of print, but I recently found this version on Amazon for under $10. My only complaint is that this CD includes a jacked-up version of Fame rather than the original. If they really wanted to include that disco version it would have been optimal to include both it and the REAL Fame.

I just got around getting this title and it was a bit different from my vinyl version which is shorter of course due to time permitted & this CD version has more recent added tracks. Also it switched the original version of "Fame" with the 90's remix used in the film "Pretty Woman". It is actually still a good CD to listen to considering this was one of his earliest "Best Of" collections. Sure there are other compilations now that make this title rather obsolete but all in all still contains his main collection of hits. If memory serves he put it out on vinyl as "Changesonebowie" & another release called "Changestwobowie". Nevertheless, a nice title that if you look good a nice price for this one can be found. I recommend it for the general fan because I have all the other collections "Best Of" series by him already & wanted to add this title to my collection. RIP David & thanks for the great music.

This is my favorite Bowie compilation. I have had this on cassette since its release, along with the double cassette of Singles. I highly recommend this for for a condensed listening experience of Bowie hits through to the 80s.

Thought out his career, David Bowie changed and his music reflects this. This CD spans many decades of his career, from Ziggy Stardust to "Thin White Duke". Some are live tracks, some studio, but all are enjoyable.

This is a greatest-hits collection that had originally been released in the 70's, and continued to be updated up unto about 1990. All of his pop hits from 1967-1983 are all here, as well as a mix of "Fame" that holds up respectably. Not really much to be said here....a little bit of trivia: Stevie Ray Vaughan played the guitar solo on "Let's Dance". For the post (geez, over 3 years ago) assuming that Mr. Bowie is racist.....his WIFE is an African-American, so.....need I say more?

Elle est idéale pour découvrir l'artiste. Mais si on veut aller plus loin il faut d'autres compilations ou alors acheter les albums (surtout ceux des années 70). A noter qu'elle est issue de l'album "changes" de 1976.

This compilation on one cd was to promote the SOUND+VISION releases of all of the RCA Bowie albums, whose rights had been bought by EMI. And those releases were the first time Bowie had been remastered, and most had wonderful bonus tracks and lyrics printed. CHANGESBOWIE does not have lyrics. As I had collected all of the SOUND+VISION upon their original release date, I thought it was about time I got this for less than £3 (bought a used one from estock via Amazon)
The track FAME '90 remix (from the film "Pretty Woman") was the lead single off this cd. 2LP CHANGESBOWIE is also to be found if you like vinyl.
